Episode 8: One Giant Leap

Section 31, the code name of an officially nonexistent and unsanctioned rogue agency within Starfleet Intelligence, claims to protect the security interests of the United Federation of Planets. Little information is available about the activities of the organization, but it is said that they deal with threats to the Federation that others did not even realize exists. Section 31's actions are not controlled nor acknowledged by Starfleet Command or the Federation government. They have been described as the "Judge, Jury, and Executioner" of the Alpha Quadrant.

Doctor Liam Page, a genetically engineered human, was team leader in charge of studying a Jem�Hadar hatchery found by Section 31, for possible exploitation by the Federation. During his studies, Dr. Page breaks away from Section 31 and assumes full control of the hatchery. Modeling himself on Khan Noonien Singh, Dr. Page begins plans to make himself the leader of a genetically enhanced ruling class.

Realizing Dr. Page could become a grave threat to the Federation, Section 31 using their vast resources to track him down to the Raeyan Sector. They send Director Michael Dean, a former Starfleet Commander and Executive Officer of the USS Independence, to Echelon Station to enlist the aid of his former Commanding Officer, Commodore Solomon Grace, and his crew to end the threat Dr. Page poses.

Can Commodore Grace and Director Dean put aside their differences of the past to face this looming threat or will Doctor Page push them and the sector to the brink of destruction?

If you would like to be part of a traditional Trek crew doing traditional Trek exploring, well the Echelon Station is the place for you. We emphasize on exploring the Star Trek Universe through creative writing and character development. We do not seek to re-invent Star Trek and try to stay as close to canon as possible with, of course, the logical and practical progression Star Trek timeline included in our storylines.
