Some of you fellow Trekkers have asked about my avatar, that pic you see all the way to the left of this entry. Yes, thats me, and no, Im not wearing makeup. That image has been digitally manipulated to look like the freaky alien it is. Actually that is me playing the role of the Dwar named Keriden, from my novel Jason Station: Cascade, which is available for free reading on my website.
Image manipulation is a passion of mine and I love absolutely love Adobe Photoshop! The Bajoran landscapes in DS9 were done on Adobe Photoshop. Im not sure about the opening scene of the Romulan capital in Star Trek: Nemesis but it looks like Photoshop to me. Using Photoshop I was also able to make my friend Ben look like the Zibalian trader Kivas Fajo (The Most Toys) on the cover of the STNG novel I wrote, which is also available free on my website.
This isnt the first time Ive done this to other people and me; I can pretty much make anybody look like anything. And I dont need to pay a graphic artist. Now thats cheap. I only have three passions in life and my Adobe Photoshop is one of them!
