ok so the 5 extra decks were added on in a re-fit of the enterpirse...but the huge chasm in the maintenance area that Riker kicks the reman down....is that where the Omega 13 device from Galaxy Quest is hidden? ... because that is a totally pointless thing to have in a starship a hole that spans the depth of the ship
what are your thoughts?

lol on Omega 13. That's certainly possible.

I guess it depends on what they were doing with that "hole" or or what the intentions for it are. It could be possible (Not counting the deck thing aside, it seems weird, but there are possible explanations for the odd deck count, but...) that it's there for some sort of disaster scenario. Perhaps if something needs to be ejected out of the ship, that "hole" could be used?

 ok broken ship expell something port....maybe plasma vents or coolent vent?....i guess that could be a viable idea bad place to be in a fight tho ... like when Kirk was in defector control and the compartment got blown to hell....but ya i guess thats an idea tht could work ^_^
