Hi everyone,

Im new to STV forums. I look forward to reading your fan fiction and joining in some of your discussions.

Some background info
I am a full-time parent, casual Medical Educator and hobbyist writer.
My husband Rick and I have been married for 14 years and we have six terrific kids! - yes, you read that number correctly. Our children range in age from 13 years down to 9 weeks.

In Australia, were still in populate or perish mode, so basically were just supporting the government in its One child for Mum, one child for Dad, and one child for the Prime minister policy, with a few spares. Actually, we feel very blessed! Kaitlyn, Sean and Leah are ours by birth. Ryan and Emma were adopted from South Korea after a very long wait. And little Lochlain joined us from the foster care system. Life is hectic, and Im slightly sleep deprived at present, but its all good.

So why did I join STV.com
At this moment, the first three chapters of my latest full-length Star Trek: Voyager novel are sitting in a slush pile on someones desk at Pocket Books. Its been almost a year since my manuscript was forwarded. Its frustrating, but not entirely unexpected as my two previous attempts at Star Trek fiction also took about a year for my agent to get a reply.

My story, titled Symbols, was written to be the missing link between Resolutions and some of the left-field plot developments in Endgame. Its a reflective story, an ensemble piece, but with some significant Janeway/Chakotay moments.

I thought some of you might enjoy reading Symbols. Like all writers, I need feedback. And if nothing else, if you're interested in writing professionally, reading Symbols could give you a better idea of what's most likely being rejected by Pocket Books these days. So anyone whos interested can drop me a quick email on [email protected] and Ill forward you a copy.

Best wishes,
Suzanne.

Welcome Suzanne! Hope you enjoy StarTrekVoyager.

Wow, writing a Star Trek novel. I always wanted to contribute to Star Trek in some way, like writing a novel. Alas, my writing skills (and inspiration) are not so good. So I stick to watching the series instead
