i think there should have been a storyline where the doctor falls in love with seven and they get virtu married and have holokids. and maybe a romance between janeway and the chief tactical officer (tuvok).

I think Tom should have fallen in love with the Captain, because in that one episode, when Tom hits transwarp, and he turns into a freaky mutant dude, he and the captain mate and have offspring.
