Spock was an alien, so he was the most novel. By being novel, I think he was the most popular.

I broke the tie, and gave Kirk the lead.
He's more popular, because people love seeing him command, instead of Spock. Spock almost drives me crazy... when he has to command, while Kirk is away somewhere.

I must say Spock. Kirk is more popular in series but in real life I think Spock is popular becouse we humans love different, we like everything that is not normal.......maybe it is in our nature.......maybe..........

I like all 3 of them, but I liked Spock the best because he was so different because he was a Vulcan. Kirk was cool too but I always made fun of his acting so that didn't always help...

I guess Spock, albeit he was not my fav character. Spock was the first alien ever met in ST, and although he was a friendly one, who co-worked with human people, his pointy hears and his green blood surely distinguished him.
Kirk was a skirtchaser, good-looking, even though a little immature, especially if compared to the Starfleet captains to come (Picard and, above all, Janeway).
Scotty was a funny guy, with an odd accent (even though, unfortunately, in the Italian dubbing it was completely missing) and sometimes rude manners.
But Spock ruled!
