I dunno how many Kate Bush fans there are here on STV, but I'd like to share this with you!

Kate Bush, 2005

In November 2005, following a 12 year absence of Kate Bush in the charts, fans were rewarded dearly for their long wait, with the release of Bush's 8th studio album, Aerial. Critics called it her Masterpiece, and it sold over 100,000 copies world wide in it's first week of release. With this rich new work, overflowing with the familiar Kate Bush quality found no-where else, and the promise of a 9th album, hopefully in the near future, fans were able to sit back and relax again.

Two years later, with rumours flying everywhere over the possible release date of the forthcoming Bush album, fans have been given a tasty tidbit in the form of new movie, The Golden Compass. Based on the first of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy of books, The Golden Compass will feature Lyra-- the latest musical creation from Kate Bush, on it's Soundtrack.

A ghostly, haunting song, reminiscant of an Enya track, Lyra has sent fans wild. It may not be her strongest work to date, but with the soothing, cooing repetition of "O, Lyra...Lyra..." in those familiar, warbling tones, Kate Bush once again has her fans in love.

The Golden Compass will be released on 7th December and Lyra will be available for download on 11th December.

I know, i wish it would comer out now, but noone my luck, i won't come out until the day when im least expecting it, and i blow the money i have on somehting!

didn't Kate Bush do a couple of tracks with Bobby Gillespie's Primal Scream? or was that some other broad?
