I've just recently become a B5 fan. I know they had some production problems. Could someone timeline the series for me, (not too specific) just so I can see where the seasons lie in relation to Crusade, and where any movies like "Legend of the Rangers" will be in the timeline?

Will Crusade ever have more than 13 episodes?

I know B5 is a few years old, but surely there's someone here who knows it well!?

I never could get into this although I know the writer is Michael J Stranjinski who now writes some good comic books.

I've been watching it on TV, what I've seen so far are a few Sinclair episodes, plus every episode from when Sheridan took over to the one where the guy who looks like Barclay (same actor?) guest stars, and they end up killing what I assume is a Shadow.

My favorite so far is the Sinclair episode "Babylon Squared", where they find Babylon 4.

What I was asking was when B5LR will be in relation to the series, and when Crusade fits into the picture, and have you heard anything about whether Crusade will ever continue.

Babylon Legend of the Rangers will be a stand alone movie, based on B5 but not fitting into the whole plot. Crusade followed approximately five years after B5 ended. Earth was polluted with a virus by the remaining minions of the Shadow (You can see this in Babylon 5: A Call to Arms). Crusade must find the cure to that virus.

As far as I know Crusade will never again have another episode. As badly as B5 fared for years (barely avoiding cancellation every year), Crusade fared even worse. B5 was a great show. Crusade just tried to capitolize on that.

I had heard Scifi might bring Crusade back in some form, or maybe even make a series based on B5LR. I was just wondering if anyone has heard similar things.

Hmm...I've recently started watching it (and I mean VERY recently, was like, last Friday I think)...it reminds me A LOT of Voyager (actually, come to think of it, more of Enterprise), seems good to me so far!

My favorite aspect of B5 is that the cast----not just individual characters, but the cast itself----evolves.

Some new characters, like Marcus Cole, appear "out of nowhere" at the beginning of a season. Others, however, "work their way" into the show. Zack Allen was a recurring guest star in Season 2, appearing more and more often. As of season 3, he became a main star.

Talia Winters left BEFORE season 2 was over, instead of in the last episode as most other scifi shows would have done. Instead, (SPOILER) they devoted an ENTIRE episode to the discovery that she is a traitor (although that wasn't clear until near the end).

Ah...OK...this will probably (hopefully) make a bit more sense when I know more about the show, LOL

I don't know exactly how much you've seen so far, but where I am right now it is showing early season 3. Zack Allen is the security guy who is in the NightWatch program, but is uncertain about it. Marcus Cole is the Ranger newly assigned to B5.

Talia Winters was the local telepath assigned there by psi-core, but it turned out she was a traitor in the episode "Divided Loyalties" or something similar.

By the way, very soon (I think this Wednesday, 11/2, the B5 episode "Severed Dreams" will play. According to at least one source, this is fan-rated as the #1 B5 episode ever.

Well I guess this post is pretty ancient. I love all B5 although the first few episodes of crusade where a bit dodgy in my opinion...I need A Call to Arms!!! I don't think it has been shown yet in the UK and I have seen all of Crusade except the very start! lol.

There's a story behind that. As you may know, TNT cancelled Crusade before it even started airing. The TNT execs insisted on certain features in the show which JMS didn't like, so in one episode----"War Zone", I think----he put in all of TNT's "suggestions" to show them it was a bad idea.

TNT was not impressed.

Anyway, the last five episodes in broadcast order (which were actually the first five made) are the only ones not affected by TNT's meddling.

So I presume the last 5 are probably the best?

Wish I knew. I found all that out from various sites, but I've never actually seen all of Crusade. I'm hoping the Scifi channel reruns it again soon.
