Quote: | Cindy Sheehan, the soldier's mother who galvanized an anti-war movement with her monthlong protest outside President Bush's ranch, said Tuesday she's done being the public face of the movement.
"I've been wondering why I'm killing myself and wondering why the Democrats caved in to George Bush," Sheehan told The Associated Press while driving from her property in Crawford to the airport, where she planned to return to her native California.
"I'm going home for awhile to try and be normal," she said.
In what she described as a "resignation letter," Sheehan wrote in her online diary on the "Daily Kos" blog: "Good-bye America ... you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I can't make you be that country unless you want it.
"It's up to you now." |

While I don't really like this lady too much, what she said about blind part allegience is spot on.

About time, I'm getting sick of her popping up in the news getting arrested or screaming her head off.

The only sympathy I have for her is that her son died, but everything else? She's just asking for trouble, I've read articles on her...'movement'. Didn't care for some of their actions, and way's of doing things.

But you still have

Here here! She liked to play the "infallible mother of the dead soldier" card, and while I sympathize with her loss, that does not give her the right to do what she's done without protest. I'm glad to see her go.

A lot of what she was saying was just inflammatory. I think she's just looking for trouble and media attention.
