If the speed of light is faster then the speed of sound. And it takes days, weeks months to travel between places at warp speed...
How are communications instantaneous and in real time???

Communications are going through subspace at even a faster speed then any spaceship. They are going at Transwarp speeds even if i'm not mistaken.
and it travels as data, not as sound so the speed of sound has nothing to do with it.

Earths' scientists were simply overwhelmed in the 23 century when they discovered how stupendously simple it was to send a data stream almost instantaneously, comparatively. Voyager effectively sent and received data streams when their was no stable link to be found. In these episodes 'The Eye of the Needle(1-7)'-'Message in a Bottle(4-14)'-'Infinite Regress(5-7)'-'Pathfinder(6-10)'-'Lifeline(6-24)' they use amazing technology at their disposal.
