We couldn't quite think of a suitable topic for this, but wanted to have a discussion about these song lyrics. They are bound to be controversial.
So, this topic is for the discussion of what you think is actually meant by these lyrics.

Washington Is Next
Megadeth
The quiet war has begun with silent weapons
And the new slavery is to keep the people
Poor and stupid, Novus Ordo Seclorum
How can there be any logic in biological war?
We all know this is wrong, but the New World Orders
Beating down the door, oh something needs to be done
There was a King who had a dream with no idea
What it could mean and nobody could interpret
Of seven empires falling, the wolf is at the door
As predicted years ago, that that was, that is, that is no more
The word predicts the future and tells the truth about the past
Of how the world leaders are waiting to usher in the
Eighth False King to the throne, Washington is Next!
Disengage their minds, sabotage their health
Promote sex, and war, and violence in the kindergartens
Blame the parents and teachers; its their fault, Annuit Coeptis
Attack the church dynamic, attack the family
Keep the public undisciplined till nothing left is sacred and
The have-nots get hooked and have to go to the haves just to cop a fix
I am a King who had a dream with no idea
What it could mean and nobody could interpret
Of seven empires falling, the wolf is at my door
As predicted years ago, that that was, that is, that is no more
The word predicts the future and tells the truth about the past
Of how the world leaders are waiting to see me
Im the Eighth False King to the throne, Washington is Next!
There was a King who had a dream with no idea
What it could mean and nobody could interpret
Of seven empires fallen, the wolf is at the door
As predicted years ago, that that was, that is, that is no more
I am a King and I had dream, and nobody could interpret
Seven empires fallen, the wolf is at my door
Oh, that that was, that is, that is no more
The wolf is at my door
The future tells the truth about the past
Im the Eighth False King to the throne, the temple of Zeus
Ive got you in my crosshairs, now, aint that a bitch?
Washington, youre Next!

And some of us soar to the stars
And some of us sail through our troubles
And some have to live with our scars

It's quite clear that through the name of the song, that when the CD hits the stores that there may be some controversy. What is Dave hitting at with this song? How will it be interpreted by the masses? Will they see it for what it is, listen to it, and understand it? Or will they read the song title and make drastic assumptions and declare the band as Anti-American?

Its Megadeth, who ever listened to their lyrics before? Its all about the guitar. They might as well just be humming along.
Please don't kill me Dan...

I think the lyrics are just pointing out that like all the other great civilizations and empires of the world, America is going to fall. I agree, I just don't know if it will as soon as the song would imply.

...is it me, or does that seem to talk mostly about the stuff in Revalations from the bible? Because that's all I could think of while reading it.
-Edit-
Okay. So it is. Are they Christian or something? What's with that?
The way I interpret it--coming as someone who studied revalations a bunch--is that he's talking about the coming of the antichrist and the new world order, which is slowly (supposedly) going to take over several nations, like America. My family, being good Baptists, sees this all around them and sincerely believes that's what's happening to the country. So they would be in favor of this song. But... I don't know if I'm getting the interpretation right. I don't know Megadeth well, but it seems uncharacteristic.
