When the phone rang at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in Harriett Ross� Stetson kitchen, the Bangor Police Department was on the other end of the line.
Ross, 69, is the mother of Christina Simonin whose body was found Saturday night behind her apartment on Union Street in Bangor.
Ross had been seated at the kitchen table, describing her daughter with family members nearby when the call interrupted.
The kitchen went silent.
"Yep. Yep. Yep," Ross said as Simonin�s sister and a niece stood with their hands over their mouths in shock. |
