STV is back up!

Sorry for the downtime. It's been two weeks and it seems like forever. Getting STV back online this time took much more effort than before.

It took a week before anyone attempted a reboot (sigh). The guy I asked to reboot STV's server was busy that week and forgot to do it the first time I asked and he didn't get around to check on STV's server until a week after STV went offline. I was told a reboot was not possible because of hardware failure. Luckily, the next day was a Saturday and I was able to drive to KC to pick up the server. I was able to recover STV's DB and there should not be any data loss.

It took a week to setup a totally different server. The new server is running different and updated "major" versions of PHP, MySQL, and Apache2. Rather than testing this new setup, I decided to put STV back online asap. Please let me know if there any bugs with the forum. If there are, then PM me with error messages if possible.

We had a little power failure early this morning. Due to the instability of STV, I am going to make a status page on a different computer at status.startrekvoyager.com. If the main site goes down, I will try to keep you updated with what's going on.
