PostTue Nov 21, 2006 9:48 pm    Star Trek Encounters (PS2)

I bought this game brand new for $20, and I was looking forward to playing it quite a bit. I did the other day, it sucked quite a bit considering you don't get to do anything fun until you play in the game for a really really long time, but I suppose that's just because they make you go through chronological order through the serieses, and I don't care much for TOS or Enterprise. It is great because you can play every series, but it's just not amazing. The ships are difficult to control and the missions are pretty hard. Overall, meh, it's OK and I'll play it.

Anyone else play it? Have any opinions?

I haven't played it yet, but I have no doubt the missions are hard, as a Star Trek game, hard missions are to be expected, lol. It is cool you get to play though all of the series, though.

My father, whom works at Sony, gave me a demo of the game. I liked it al lot, but as you already stated the missions are very hard too complete. Although i only could do 2 missions, they where still long and though.

I can't wait till it arrives in Europe, IF it arrives in Europe. Otherwise i will order in in Japan or America..

Yes, the missions are very long. They are pretty tough, but that was just like the last one on PS2 (Star Trek Shattered Universe), very frustrating, but quite fun once I sit down and just get through it.

Rob, it's being released in Europe by Ubi Soft!

And Duh, what would be fun about a game you play out like that, that makes it more fun, you need to replay the level until you finally succeed.

There is a difference. I remember reading that...but I don't remember what...it's different, but still kind of the same...LOL...sorry, I know that was kind of vague...

That was my problem too, it was pretty hard to get through the training. Once I did though, it was a great game! Persist!

I actually found myself looking for a similar code, but couldnt find one.

Either find someone to beat it for you or find someone who already has beat it I suppose.

I'm sure I could beat it on my own, but it's so frustrating. I'll probably get an ulser trying to beat it. lol.
