BIO: Jacob or Jack, as his friends call him, Callahan, was born in Cardiff, Wales on Earth on the twenty-first of February in the year of 2342, to parents James and Mary Callahan. Jack was the eldest of three brothers and seeing as both of his parents had been officers in Starfleet, he had been forced to care for them, most of the time. His father, James, had been the Captain of the Miranda-class U.S.S. Wellington, during the Cardassian Wars. To this day, he still commands that same ship, albeit a refit and more modern version of the Miranda, which has lived through many battles, all the way up to the Dominion War. His mother had been the Chief Science Officer on the Federation space station, Deep Space 4. Driven by his parents, Jack enrolled in Starfleet, at the age of sixteen, as many young boys his age had done. Jack had been urged by his father, who strongly believed in keeping the family's military tradition alive, to join Starfleet, seeing as his other two brothers seemed to have talents that didn't suit military service. Jack, happy to keep up the tradition, seeing no other venue of vocation for him to turn to, seeing as his skills lied in the military, Jack joined up with Starfleet and studied in the security and tactical fields. Jack was an excellent student, having been taught much of what was taught to him in the Academy by his father, before-hand. His father, who wanted to ensure that he had the best education that he could possibly have before he joined Starfleet, taught him these things, so he would be prepared for the Academy. By the end of his time in Starfleet, Jack had been an honor student and had managed to graduate a year early, at the age of nineteen. During his time at the Academy, Jack had met and fell in love with another cadet in the medical field, a certain Maria Coppola. However, when Jack had been assigned to a different starship than Maria, the two had been seperated, however, the two managed to stay in contact, through subspace messages. Jack had been assigned to the Galaxy-class starship, the U.S.S. Ramuh, as a security officer. Jack served on the Ramuh for three years, as a security officer, before he was transferred to the U.S.S. Odin, a Nebula-class vessel, to serve as the Assistant Security Chief, at the ripe age of twenty-four. Jack served on the Odin for a number of years, afterwards, before, one year prior to the outbreak of the Dominion War, being transferred to the Defiant-class starship, the U.S.S. Leviathan, to serve as her Chief of Security. Jack served all the way through the Dominion War in the Leviathan, fighting on the frontlines through the entire war. In fact, during the First Battle of Chin'toka, Jack earned himself the Starfleet Decoration for Gallantry for his actions in the fight. After the war, Jack had reunited with his love, Maria Coppola. The two married, in 2379. Jack took an extended leave of absence, to spend some time with his wife back on Earth. Jack returned to duty in 2381, on desk duty, on Earth. However, when news of the new wormhole reached his ears, Jack yearned to return to active duty. Jack received his wish, in 2383, when he was assigned to the U.S.S. Agape, as the Chief Security/Tactical Officer. After pulling a few strings, his wife was assigned to the Agape, too, a doctor in the medical department. Jack longs to see some action, while exploring new worlds and new civilizations at the same time, with his lovely wife at his side. Jack is British, through and through, with an accent and everything; however, his accent has diminished some, after spending so many years in Starfleet. Jack is physically fit and is intelligent and witty. Jack has a strong devotion to Starfleet, as his father before him had.
