I'm puzzled why there was so much fan controversy when Jeri Ryan was dating series producer, Brannon Braga, from 2000 onward. I mean that was hardly a unique thing in Star Trek, what with Patrick Stewart supposedly having a relationship with another Trek producer, Roddenberry actually marrying another Trek actress and even Kate Mulgrew having a fling with Robert Beltran, then after that a Voyager director. Why are there still jealous, snivelling Trekkies crying about Braga and Ryan shacking up with each other for about a couple of years?
I heard that their relationship was not fully confirmed until late 1999 and they broke relations as long after as 2003, so why the controversy? I mean didn't Lucy Lawless also end up marring and even having kids with her producer? Why the double-standards and retarded speculation?

I don't remember any controversy about Jeri Ryan and Brannon Braga, if people did have a problem, they obviously needed to get a life!

Because it's Star Trek Voyager.com, this is the Voyager section and Jeri Ryan was a pivotal castmember. And your point is?!!!

I didn't hear about Kate having a fling with RB... That had to be a rumor of some sorts. And with Jeri Ryan dated Braga, I thought there was something wrong with it at first but now I see that there was nothing wrong with it. It wasn't no controversy with in my opinion. Once I started to like her, I saw her in a new light and I think she is wonderful.
Why do you think it was a controversy? I don't see it that way. I use to but I was mistaken.

Actually, I remember reading an interview w/ KM where she mentioned the relationship w/ RB.

Actually, they weren't. Because after it was over (and it was apparently brief), there was a frostiness between them that made it even more unlikely that J/C would ever appear onscreen.

I read somewhere(I don't know it was in all the tabloids) that jeri got married to a maritime cook on the shores of Los Angeles. This was back maybe 8 months ago. Anybody read that?

Jeri is engaged to the French chef Christophe Eme. They own an LA restaurant. They'll be married in France next June.
