Check this out.

My Adjusted Headline for this article wrote:
New study finds dream world a strange, scary place for liberals while conservatives dream of mundane, realistic events and monogamous sex.

Furthermore, http://michellemalkin.com/archives/006005.htm

Accurate? What say you?

I'll agree my dreams are strange, but they're not scary. I like being on Voyager, even if Neelix is the captain (dream from last night).

I'm more liberal than conservative, but I don't stress the political situation if I can help it. However, I do, and always have, had surreal dreams. Some people might call them scary, but they very rarely scare me. And I happen to know my mother is ultra conservative and has veeeeeeeery pedestrian dreams. I like my dreams. Imagination and freedom of thought!

^ Nicely said, and I completely agree.

I am also--all protestations of the study's author aside--quite able to distinguish between what happens in my dreams and the real world, thank you. I am not hanging on the edge of sanity.

And I have never in my entire life had a dream in which a political figure was featured. As a matter of fact, the only public figures that have ever appeared in my dreams were those I've met personally.

Oddly enough I find this report fairly accurate in how I sleep/dream (I'm liberal). I actually woke up in a cold sweat 2 times last night. Although, once isn't all that rare it's still infrequent; twice was quite odd.

For the most part though, I have fairly weird dreams that I enjoy for the most part.

I think the weirdest thing about my sleep parterns is when I do have a lucid dream and am aware I'm asleep, most of the time I can wake up but there is on occassion a time where I try to wake up and my mind just won't let me. It's like hitting a hard object such as a glass door, and after a few tries I just attempt to manipulate the dream to my liking until I finally wake up. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

But yeah, for the most part I enjoy my weird dreams.

I do think this is pretty accurate as well. I mean, I've had some strange dreams in the past, but I can't recall the last time I've really had a dream that wasn't realistic. And, naturally, I'm conservative. But of course everyone here already knew that

Well, this is a classic example of right vs left though. Right Brained people are generally Politically Left, while Left Brained people are generally Politically Right.

The Left Brain (Right Political) is based in numbers, mechanics, reality, and logic.
The Right Brain (Left Political) is based in shape, form, idealism, and creativity.

I, for one, have more surreal dreams, I know i'm right brained, which would make me more likely to be Liberal in mindset, but various influences in my life have drawn me to the Conservative side. In other words, I think like a Liberal, but have the values of a Conservative.

I suppose I'm Liberal. I wouldn't say my dream world is sacry... strange maybe... but I also have slice of life dreams... I often dream of being at work and nothing out of the ordinary happens. Granted I work in theatre.. so it's not like it's a sitting at a desk dream... I do dream in color. I hear that's supposed to be rare.
