Ok, there is something that I do not understand about this guy.
He always talks about the "Bloody Cardies", and fighting them, but I can only find one recorded instance in which he fought Cardassians at all. Someone want to explain this to me?

Maybe he did it during his Academy years or something.

He was on Cetlic 3 for the Massacre of the same name. There is also some indication that he had additional involvement in the Cardassian War. However, since said war was never on-screen, and was just a bit of TNG backstory, there isn't much reference to it.

I know he talks a lot about this in TNG:"The Wounded".

If his experiences on Cetlic 3 were traumatic enough, that may have been all he needed. Plus, a lot of his engineering problems on DS9 are the result of poor Cardassian workmanship and plus I'm sure he has heard a lot of stories about the Cardassian occupation of Bajor and how they treated the workers on DS9.

This is not really about O'Brian. (more so the actor) But I didnt want to make a new thread, just for this. I found this clip on youtube! It's an insight into a character Colm Meaney played on Law and Order: Criminal Intent. He plays this nasty judge (he attemps to surpress his accent, it sounds a little werid). He plays evil pretty good.

"Colm Meaney"
