Story

Deep Space Guardian is a space station, Ournal II class, located inbetween Federation and Romulan space. It's mission is to defend the Vega system and everything in it. The station serves as the Federation presence in the area.

It orbits the planet Elerra Prime and guards it, hence it's name. Elerra Prime is unique in the sense that it's orbit forces it to go through both Federation and Romulan space. The planet was highly disputed between the Federation and Romulans for years, even after the establishment of the Romulan Neutral Zone. After the Dominion war, the Federation and the Romulans agreed to a joint custody of the planet.

Both sides wanted it due to it's location, resources, and history. There were an "indegenious" people living on the planet at the time. They were refugees from an unknown planet. They had, had a terrible run in with the Interstellar Concordium and fled to the planet. The species had a name that could not be said by any other species, so they took up the name of the planet, Elerra Prime.

The Elerrans held a terrible secret. They disliked the Romulans and the Federation, but the former much more. They called for the Federation to make a permanent presence on the planet. Starfleet constructed a space station to orbit the planet. The space station was commanded by admiral Thomas A. Xavier.

After the events of Shinzon, Romulus was forced to pull all resources from the planet and deal with the reconstruction of it's senate and fleet. The planet fell under full Starfleet control. A faction within Romulus was furious over this loss for unknown reasons. They attacked the space station and succeeded in destroying it, killing Thomas A. Xavier in the process. A very short war raged as a result, one the Romulan faction lost fast. Starfleet reconstructed the station and gave command to the deceased admiral's son, captain Ian Xavier.

Now, the crew of DSG has come together to serve Starfleet and brave the unknown. Enemies lurk within the Romulan empire. A war rages thanks to the evil leadership of Sit Fito, aka Obsidian. Starfleet crumbles as corruption eats awar at its principles. DSG serves as a bastion of hope and strength.

(Episode 1-Home Is Where The Heart Is)

-Captain Xavier boards DSG and takes command. He meets his crew for the first time, including the future ruler of the Nautolian empire-Sit Fito. The station is somewhat in shambles due to construction not fully being complete. He even learns about the station and its then quirky computer. Before he meets his entire crew, he sees them in action when Romulan terrorist assualt the station. The crew manages to repel them, but Ryan Aurora loses his eyesight. Things die down and hopes that the Romulan rebels are finally gone.
-The USS Guardian is used for the first time.

(Episode 2-Our World)

-Ryan Aurora gets married to a Bajoran woman. Ian is the one that marries the two.
-The senior staff goes to Elerra Prime to meet with the Elerrans. There, they tell the crew of problems they've been having in the Forbidden Hills. Ian sends some crew to ascertain what is going on over there and why Elerrans continue to dissapear. They leave to find the problem while Ian meets the leader of the Elerrans, Prime Minister Iojee. He offends them and is forced to leave. Meanwhile, the crew discovers an ancient species living in abandoned ruins-Zalbogians. The crew fights the powerful psychic aliens and trap them inside of their temples.
-Fito and Aia's friendship begins. He discovers that Aia was gifted with heightened mental abilities, but there is not explanation as to how.

(Episode 3-Illusions And Vagaries Of Perception )

-After the events with the Zalbogians, the crew finds themselves onboard an empty Deep Space Guardian. The only people onboard were the senior staff. They explore, trying to find out where everyone went and why they were left behind. Suddenly, they are attacked by Klingons, Naussicans, Borg, and Jem'Hadar-a strange mix if there ever was one. One of his crew becomes assimilated and targets the captain. Meanwhile, Ian pieces the facts together and realizes the Elerrans are involved in all of this. Once his Borg crewman assimilates Ian, the captain calls for this fantasy world to end. Ian finds himself inside of an Elerran holodeck, alongside the others. There, the scientist explains they never left Elerra Prime and were being experimented on to see how much Starfleet can withstand. After the "failure" of Thomas and his crew, the Elerrans did not trust Starfleet. The senior staff angrily leaves, but before leaving, Ian warns this will damage relations between the two peoples. The Elerrans warned that relations would not be damaged if Starfleet wanted to keep Elerra Prime...
-Ian gives Fito permission to begin training Aia in the Mystical Energy.

(Episode 4-Exploring The Explorer)

-Ian begins to see hints of corruption in Starfleet. After firing a protest about what the Elerrans had done, Starfleet simply said to "bite their tongues" on the matter. They cared more about keeping that system then the care of their own officers.
-Starfleet sends the crew of DSG on a mission into Hydran space. The USS Horn dissapeared there while searching for a missing NX class starship. Grey's cousin served onboard the ship. At this time, the Hydrans had a strained relationship with the Federation. They showed the USS Guardian where the starship had crashed. They refused to go near the planet because of a duonetic field that surrounded it. A shuttle was sent, but it crashed on the planet. It was mostly water and ice, so the temperture alone nearly killed them. They managed to make it onto the floating saucer section of the USS Horn. Inside of the ship, they found fish like humanoids were eating the flesh of dead Starfleet officers. The crew flee and make it to the bridge. Grey finds his cousin, who dies after they exchange a few words. During all this, Robitaille deals with S31 matters. One of the crewmen had been S31 and left a lot of information behind. They manage to escape the Horn and find the NX ship, but not before being attacked by a massive eel like creature. They discover the NX ship is the source of the duonetic field. They return to the ship only to find the Hydrans demand them leave the space. Ian is tempted in telling Starfleet the mission failed, not wanting to hurt relations. He was also furious about how Starfleet pressed for him to find the NX ship and then save the Horn crew. Ian decideds to leave and contacts admiral Smith upon his return to DSG. A furious admiral Smith cuts the channel off, but not before telling IAn that he would be reprimanded for his failure. Ian goes into OPS after the red alert sirens ring out and sees a fleet of Hydran ships approaching the station. (First two parter in DSG.

(Episode 4-Broken Alliances(Part II))

-The Hydran fleet surrounds DSG. They immediatly begin to attack, demanding that Starfleet surrender the station. A Klingon bird of prey joined the battle and sided with Starfleet. The small Hydran fleet surrendered and admitted they were not part of the Hydran government, but a faction that hated the Federation-Klingon peace that had been created with the Dominion war. Ian demanded they stand down and they agreed, but immedialtly after, they self destructed their starships right next to the station, causing heavy damage. The attack on the station was discovered to be a ruse however. The Hydran rebels attacked Earth itself while the Federation fleet was sent to assist DSG. Meanwhile, admiral Russ-a high ranking member of S31, send a message to all S31 agents-Initiate S402-Hydran. It was an initiave to destroy the Hydran homeworld by changing their atmosphere to be oxygen based. Ian sends the USS Guardian, under the command of Sit Fito to Earth. Blake knocks out the crew with a gas and alters their heading towards the Hydran homeworld. Just before Blake poisons their atmosphere, the Hydran ships are recalled back to Hydran space. They declare they are no longer allies with the Federation, not enemies, just not allies anymore. The Guardian returns to DSG. Blake lies and says the ship was hit by an anomly, causing everyone to go unconscious. Fito suspects that he is lying, but nothing is done.
-Relations with Hydrans fall here and sets the stage for their alliance with the Nautolians later on.

(Episode 5-Breen Observation)

-Captain Avery Grant, formerly of the USS Canada, boards the station and Ian Xavier relinquishes command of DSG to him. He orders Blake Robitaille and Malcolm Jones to pack their things because the trio was given an uncover assignment by Starfleet Intelligence. Fito protests that he was not placed in command. Admiral Smith informs him that trust was placed in Grant and not Fito.
-Ian, Blake, and Malcolm boarded a Cardassian freighter and left the station. He informed the two that Breen privateers were creating bio-genenic weapons and could possibly attack the Vega system, but possibly were working for an unknow source. That was why the three had been chosen, since they were stationed there.
-Meanwhile, Grant was treating Fito badly due to personal prejudice. He had demanded that Aia give him bio-memetic gel. This was the first sign that Grant was not the officer he appeared to be. Shoran denied his request and was relieved of duty for it.
-Back on the Cardassian ship, Ian revealed to Blake and Malcolm they would be infiltrating a Breen base with suits from Breen POWs from the Dominion war.
-The EMH Mark II is activated for the first time by captain Grant. He places it in charge sickbay and demands it gets him the gel.
-Ian and the others discover the area where the Breen are creating weapons. Federation and Romulan POWs are being forced to assist in it's creation. They break them free and a prisoner riot erupts while they work to destroy the weapons. Mark Glasson, chief tactical officer and friend of Avery Grant, is working to buy the weapons for another government. He and Avery Grant were acting as a third party. Grant knew what Ian's mission was and paid a Cardassian to drop the three officers off on a dead planet. Unfortunately for Grant, the Cardassian hated him and brought the three officers to their destination. Grant, furious, decided to take the Guardian to destroy the Cardassian freighter. Mark attempted to stop the trio, but Blake killed him in a fierce fight. They rushed back to DSG, realizing that Mark served under Grant. Fito realized that Grant was insane and pursued the Guardian in his fighter. The ship reaced the Cardassian freighter and Grant demanded the ship be destroyed. Grey deactivated the weapons and Fito attacked the ship. Grant was eventually killed by Fito through his telepathic abilities.
-This is first moment we see Fito fall into darkness.
-The USS Guardian is destroyed by Grant, before death.
-Ian and the others arrive on the Breen ship and help the crew. A saddened Fito retreats, overwhelmed with grief that he gave into anger.

(Episode 6-Reawoken Memories)

-Ian realizes that Grant couldn't have risen to his rank and been so corrupt without others knowing. He comes to the conclusion that based off of everything he's seen, he realizes that Starfleet had become much more corrupt since the Dominion war.
-Lieutenant James Nolatari and Ensign Brandon Taylor join the crew. Both will later on be transfered.
-Fito takes a pilgramdge to Mystafo to come to terms with his murder.
-While checking logs from Grant, Ian finds that certain files were deleted on his computer. He has no clue who dod it or why. Various other discrepencies pop up such as the red alert being sounded several days in the past, but no one having memory of it. Tidus, the head of the marines, discover that his files were erased as well, but his hidden back ups remained. Through a garbeled personal log that Grey managed to retrieve, a piece to the puzzle falls when the mention of Elerrans, Ian's father, and him being killed are said. Ian questioned the Elerrans and was beamed down to the planet, alone.
-Fito is training Aia in the shuttlebay, wanting for her to connect to her abilities before he left.
-The Elerrans admit they were the ones who tampered with the crews memory and databanks. They explained that Thomas Xavier had discovered a secret about the Elerrans and using a Federation facility located on the planet, he left a hidden message in subspace that could only be found by Ian. They admitted to killing Thomas while the Romulans attacked the station and beamed his dead body into the station's debris, cleverly making it look like he had died there. Ian had come close to finding the message, but the Elerrans stopped him and erased his memory. Now that he had done it again, they simply decided to kill him. Ian managed to break free and return to the station, but not empty handed. He had kidnapped the Elerran prime minister. He was determined to discover the message and went back to the planet with the crew.
-Fito conversed with the Nautolian spirits of the past while on his pilgramedge and set out to fix his hidden evil.
-Ian uncovers the message and his father reveals it was the Elerrans, not the Romulans, that had destroyed the station. He also confirms Ians suspicions on the corruption of Starfleet. Thomas had discovered the Elerrans were speaking with a foe. Someone that wanted information on several of the powers in the quadrant. The Elerrans were helping to destabilize the region for their masters. During the message, the Elerrans had begun to attack DSG. Ian orders Tidus to destroy the Federation installation and they flee. Three Klingon ships swooped in to save them at the last minute. They had been docked at the station. The crew returned to the station and discovered the "fleet" of Elerran ships were really only five ships that were using holographic technology to mirror their ships into space. The Elerrans rushed off the planet when they saw they lost. Ian reluctantly let them go, realizing they wouldn't get them all anyways and they still had their leader imprisoned. Admiral Smith contacted Ian and informed him that the Elerrans would be hunted and Starfleet would not give up. On the lighter side of things, Starfleet now controls all of the Vega System. Ian was disgusted at how Smith spoke of power.
-The Elerrans meet with their masters, only to find a very displeased fleet. They are forced to the mines for their failure...

(Episode 7-New Old Enemies)

-The station has been evacuated, save for the senior staff due to an approaching ion storm. The station's shields would have to repel the storm while the occupiers were on a nearby Federation colony.
-Syd, the counselor, joins DSG at the same time.
-A Dominion fighter used the ion storm for cover and approached the station.
-The crew return to the station after being attacked and the Dominion forces board the ship. They discover that this is a Founder who rejected the reforms Odo brought back. She plans on taking the station as a powerful center for the new Dominion.
-Fito finally returns from his pilgramedge and is attacked by the Dominion bug fighter. He managed to destroy it and continue towards the station.
-Ian had been replaced by the Founder and joined the fleeing crew as Jem'Hadar spread out on the station. She tricked the others into giving her full control of the station. Once that was done, she nearly killed the senior staff. Ian, the real one, and Fito rushed in time to help.
-First mention of Vaj Tesk. (Founder changes into him to trick Fito)
-Fito defeats the Founder, but not before it tempts him with information on Vaj. He ignores it and kills the Founder, just as the crew narrowly escapes the ion storm.

(Episode 8-Destructive Diplomacy)

-Starfleet orders Sit Fito, then an excellant diplomat, to oversee the peace talks between the Lyran Star Empire and the Mirak Star League, both very old enemies. Finally, they decide to end their hostilities and chose a neutral world, Romulus. The senior staff was invited to go along since Fito was overseeing the negotiations. S31 does not want these peace talks to go through. He orders Blake to disrupt them by any means necessary.
-Malmcolm Jones had transfered to another posting.
-Aia tries to reconnect in her training with Fito.
-Meanwhile, on an abandoned Romulan space station, commander Jon Travis of the USS Implore meets with a shadowy contact who promises to spare him from the "cleansing" if he disrupts the negotiations.
-An Yridian merchant approaches Grey while he and the others are onboard the USS Alexander, captain by Jill Eret-an old friend of Ian's, the ship sent to bring them to Romulus. He claims he has information the Federation will soon fall. Grey tricks him into revealing the information without paying him. The Yridian claims that the presidency of the Federation is the source of the corruption. The sitting president at the time, was naive and oblivious to the beauracrats. He said claimed the Tellerites and Alpha Centurions were definitly part of the corruption, but he didn't know anyone else. He informed him that the successor to the sitting president had already been chosen, just not publicly. Grey informs Xavier of this and the captain realizes that everything he's been through with Starfleet since getting on DSG corroborates the Yridians story. Ian and the others beam down to Romulus and meets with an old friend of Ian's father-Thomas Xavier. Admiral Warren Russ, former academy friend to Thomas, greeted them. They were led to the diplomatic chambers to begin. Little did they all know, Blake had beamed down to the planet hours before and set it up to force the talks to fail.
-Worf, an ambassador for the Klingon empire, meets the DSG crew during the talks.
-During the talks, a mysterious explosion in the room killed the Mirak and Romulan delegation, while injuring all the others. Blake had, had no part in the explosion, but he did write the words "There can be no peace" on the wall. He activated it during the explosion, causing even more confusion. Jon Travis, the man responsible for the explosion, was caught by Blake. Meanwhile, the Romulans dragged Russ away. S31 agents took Blake and Jon to a ship in orbit and tortured Jon until death. He claimed he was working for the ISC(Interstellar Concordium). During the chaos, the Tal Shiar gains a firm control of the situation and begin executing anyone they think is responsible.
-During all of this, Ziona Andreas, replacing Malcolm Jones, becomes the new chief tactical officer of DSG.
-The new science officer, Ensign Nicholas Reddings, joins.
-The Tal Shiar kidnaps various crew and places them in imprisonment.
-Ziona and Tidus, after talking to General Ford, set out to rescue the others.
-Blake and S31 officers beam over to rescue the crew.
-A massive battle erupts in orbit of Romulus. The USS Alexander manages to beam the crew off the Romulan warbird.
-Carl Avean is killed.
-The crew manages to flee and return to DSG.
-Tidus and his wife have a divorce, leaving the colonel to pursue a relationship with Ziona.
-Ian and Ziona meet for the first time.
-Russ visits Blake in secret and informs him that he did well.
-Lyran and Mirak relations worsen.
-Tal Shiar enable martial law on the planet and gain full control to "protect the state".

(Episode 9-Reflections Of A Shattered Mirror)

-Two new officers join, Malcolm Jones-no relations to the former tactical officer, and Sophia Findlay.

They discovered a K-7 class station, instead of the Ournal II one in the place of DSG. Elerra Prime was a venerable wasteland. MU Ian meets his counterpart and beckons him to dock with the station. Due to the heavy damage, the crew were unable to escape and forced to board the station.
-Fito meets with Vaj Tesk, the Mystical master from Nautolia. This is not a mirror copy though, but the real Vaj. He tells Fito about how he and several other Nautolians tried to go into the Gamma quadrant to reason with the Dominion. They never made it into the Gamma quadrant though, due to problems with the ships. The Nautolians were pulled into the mirror universe, similiarly to how Kira and Bashir were. They helped rebuild the damaged quadrant. The war between the Alliance and the rebels were over. Regent Worf had been captured. Vaj discovered the MU Nautolians and taught them how to use the Mystical energy, breaking Nautolian law. Several Klingons and Cardassians that wanted to return to the old ways rebelled, but were quickly put down by the MU version of Sit Fito. After the victory, he dissapeared only to return as much...changed man. He had somehow taught himself how to use the negative energy. MU Fito murdered the other Nautolians from the RU and Vaj fled. He creates an empire and forces the Allian and Terrans to unite. Vaj detects that Fito had slipped into darkness for a moment as well. Despite that, he calls on Fito to stop his MU self. He Fito returns to the station and asks the others to assist in this endeavor. Ian says no, but MU Ian and Jones insist they stay under threat of death.
-RU Tidus kills MU Tidus.

Tidus tries to save the captain who is being dragged away to the brig, but RU Fito betrays him and reveals Tidus' plot. The Bolian is dragged away to join RU Ian in the brig. Fito demands the crew assist, claiming this is a "humanitarian cause". The others reluctantly accept and aid him.
-Nautolian forces close in on MU DSG.
-MU Jones steals various starship schematics from the RU while the others are in OPS.
-Blake talks to other crew and convinces Aia to deem Fito insane and unfit for command. Meanwhile, Grey works on saving Ian and Tidus.

-Ian and Tidus escape and rush off towards OPS. RU Aurora joins them and they continued onwards.
-RU Sophia tries to seduce MU Ian, only to have him bat her across the face in anger. Grey calls out to the RU crew to rebel and MU Ian tries to force control of the ship. Grey beams Ian, Tidus, and Ryan to the bridge just as MU Ian was trying to force RU Sophia to kill RU Ziona. A phaser fight erupts and MU Ian escapes, bent on killing RU Grey.
-RU Blake and Aia are still in OPS and fight off the MU crew, taking control. RU Ian and MU Ian fight it out in engineering, only to have RU Ziona stop it. Before she can apprehend MU Ian, MU Ziona fires at her. MU Ziona and Ian are subdued and taken to the brig. Control of the Guardian-A fall to the RU crew, but RU Fito flees, refusing to go back. Fito, obsessed with his "destiny" orders his squadron to disable the Federation starship. Ian beams Blake and Aia to the ship before MU Jones could kill them both.
-The USS Defiant, MU version, appears and captain Bashir claims the Nautolians had been pushed out of the Bajoran system when a strange and random occuring wormhole appeared. They discovered several allies called the Freedom Givers who decided to help.
-MU Ian managed to escape and replaces RU Ian, unknown to any of the other crew. He fools the crew into believing he is the real Ian.
-Vaj tells Fito to go to Bajor and face his counterpart. Both Vaj and Fito board the Defiant and head towards Bajor.
-MU Ian orders RU Aurora to kill Fito. Tidus and Sophia suspect Ian isn't
who he says he is and questions him.
