Not good if he's got bias towards Saddam, especially considering these comments. He wasn't a dictator? Ridiculous.

I'm going to go out on a limb and hope that when taking this in context, the judge meant that he wasn't a dictator in an insulting way...like he was incompetent or something. If not, then yikes.

Looks like it wasn't the case because it looks like he was a Saddam judge (during his dictatorship, that is) and a member of the Ba'ath Party. And in the context of what he said, according to the article, it looks like he meant it, especially considering Saddam's "thank you" reply.

Well whatever the judge says you have to feel a bit sorry for him. He could be killed by Saddam loyalists for being tough or killed for being too soft.
They should have tried Saddam in the Hague.

I don't think they should have. The Iraqi people need to get their own justice.
