Over the years in trek, we've seen many cosmetic changes in Trek species, most times never explained, (Within the trek universe). It could be for any reason, be it time, money, or an Actor/Actress not looking good in the original form etc... Let's discus the various changes and why it was done etc... I don't want responses like "I like DS9 trills better because it was DS9!" that's not really a good response, and a bit hippocritical towards how some would say that about something in Voy, anyways..... Star Trek seems to be nautorious in this....

Borg (Kinda makes since in a way, with new assimilation techlologies etc..)
Klingons (Due to time and money, however, the alterations ended up being canon)
Romulans (In TOS, they looked EXACTLY like Vulcans, hence the drama of their appearence)
Trill (From ridges to spots, no explanation given other then Terry didnt look good in Odan style)
Bajoran (The Original Bajorans in the first few appearences had a "T" like ridge along with the rest of the ridge we all know and love)
Vulcans No real changes per se, it various from actor to actor, but the Archness of the eyebrows and ears tend to change with out notice or explanations
Cardassians The first ones In TNG had a more,... brownish creamish look, and some of the ridges were differnt.

Thats just some examples, anyone else can thnk of any? Again, species wide, not person to person, I included Vulcans because it has happend several times.

The Tellarites have had changes going from TOS to ENT. Almost every hard too create species that is shown in both TOS and ENT are different, mostly becasue the make-up is now much better then in the 60's. Even the Orion have a different colour.

I loved what they did to the Klingon changes though, a really good way to cover it up.
