Character Rules: (Source: Founder's Star Trek: Gaia)
1: Can not be a charecter from the shows. Ex. Janeway, Sisko, Picard.
2: Can not be an alien species that isn't in the Federation. Ex. Vorta, Q, A Borg Drone, Klingon, Romulan, etc. etc. etc. UNLESS YOU CAN MAKE A CREATIVE REASON WHY THEY ARE THERE.
3: Can not be related to a main charecter unless distant. None of this Picard's illegitamate son stuff.
4: Please take into consideration that you do not have to be a Starfleet officer. You can be a civilian, trader, etc etc etc. You can even have a special rank like liason for another species. Be creative. Although there is a limit for these "special" ranks.
Joining Rules:
1) If you want to join the RPG, please either send me a PM or post here.

If you are on the Reserve list or want to join otherwise, PLEASE get your bio posted by Tuesday, if not Monday. Or I at least need the basic info--background and special skills can wait. I just need the other info and I can get started. I really want to get started as soon as possible, and you could all help me to do that, that would be beneficial.

Position: Chief Engineer
Appearance: Sandy brown hair, brown eyes, detached earlobes, and a long, straight nose. Tendency to give a half-smile rather than a grin.

Taylor grew up on Mars and got extremely interested in terraforming and colonisation procedures. After schooling, he joined the corps of colonists going to the new world of Keron III for colonisation. Taylor learned many engineering skills on the frontier there, and even helped design a new irrigation system. He married another colonist, Megan Carter, at 29, and they have two children: Michael (13) and Anna (8 ). Taylor joined Starfleet during the Dominion War when he received word that his brother had been killed in the front lines. He felt as if he was not doing enough to help the war effort, so he brought his considerable engineering expertise to bear. Taylor's been the chief engineer on the Eagle Star for its entire run. Two years ago, during an away mission to a Romulan outpost in the Neutral Zone, Taylor was captured, tortured, and nearly killed. Captain Revan led a team back to the outpost to rescue him at great cost.

If anyone is interested in being a counselor, that position is open.
I would really like a bartender for the mess hall (mess hall coordinator) much more, though. But either position is open.

I could actually really use the position of CMO, if anyone's up to it. (I would really like someone who can play the role well and has a reputation as a good RPG'er more than anything.)

Well, not necessarily an experienced CMO but an experienced RP'er. Have you been "critically acclaimed?" Do you have some references? Can you write articulately and in complete sentences/paragraphs and all that? If you at least have the latter two I could highly consider you for the position

I'm not looking for a CMO anymore. It's not really necessary, with the destiny of this RPG. But if you're qualified, talk with me.
To the members of the RPG: I have TONS to do in this, and I really want to move towards it. So, if we could speed things up a bit, that would be great.

I have no need for recruitment anymore, so I decided to transform this topic into a discussion thread for members of the RPG.
First and foremost, we're starting to move on, at last leaving the Dantooine Settlement and all. If all able members can post as often as possible between now and Sunday, that would be great.
Then we'll have Sunday, Monday, and much of Tuesday pretty much off (though you may post, just somewhat minimally), as I'm going to be in Vail.
Hopefully upon my return Valathous will be posting once again and we'll really be able to start cracking.
If we keep a steady pace I think we can really start on the plot soon.

Seeing as I am the CMO...am I to believe that I am "critically aclaimed"? Am I an experienced RPer/CMO person? Well...if so...I'm flattered.
Anyways...I'd love to post a lot...but...uhh...what would I post about? As you said...you don't need a CMO.

Oh, lol, that? Well, yes, I would call you "critically acclaimed," but that's not the point. I just wanted some people who are notable RP'ers to be in this RPG, though the sequel won't be so exclusive
And for you, just wait. When the away team returns to the ship we'll be injured a bit (still) and you'll need to do some work. Then, later on, though the actual activities of the CMO, shall we say, won't be required, they'll be a lot for you to do and a lot of opportunities to expand your RPG abilities, I would say. So though I won't be needing a CMO later on (for the duration of this RPG starting at a designated point, and not that we won't be needing your medical knowledge and abilities) they'll be much for you to do and I can guarantee that you will be a highly valuable asset to the RPG

Okay, guys. I have other RPG ideas, and I don't want to do this, but if RP'ing doesn't pick up, I'm afraid that I may very well shut down the RPG. So please post. I have tons of ideas and don't want it to go to waste, but it's getting nowhere--and there's no reason to stall anymore.

Sorry, R_M. I'm the CMO. I don't have much to do. I've post every once and awhile.
However, I do think that you might want to consider closing this and think up a new one. I think others might have lost interest. Myself, I have lost a bit, too.

Well, the reason why there's been a loss of interest is because we're not going anywhere. That was partially my fault in the beginning, and then with Valathous not being able to post I haven't wanted to return to the ship.
You're fine--I'm not even targeting you--but I guess I'm really targeting Dan, as he's slowing it up right now, by continually forgetting to post when he's able to
Well, not entirely him, but everyone. This RPG is unlike any other, and it will really have much to do. I really don't want to close it, as soon we'll be having things of great interest and things will pick up. By soon I mean once we're able to get there, depending on the posting. Everyone--even the CMO--will be needed later on, as something big is going to happen.
Plus, this RPG will carry in to my next big idea as well (sequel). I'll only close it if I'm forced to, and I hope that doesn't happen.

I would love to have you join, but there are none. You see, something big is going to happen leading us to having only the Senior Staff. However, I suppose that I could make room for you to have a subordinate posiiton and you might be able to be worked into it as the only non-senior officer later on, and continue on into the sequel
What do you think?

Just to let everyone know, I'm gonna get the RPG rolling again either tonight or tomorrow, depending on when I'm able to get my post done. Once that happens, I will be playing far more consistently, as I will be on Summer Vacation. My goal is to get this moving as far as possible by June 20th, when I will be going away for three weeks.

Please post it here at any time during the next few weeks, because in the roleplaying topic I presented a notice to all members reading the following:
Member Notice wrote: | ATTENTION ALL VISION MEMBERS.
I apologize for the severe lack of posts. I have been quite busy lately and unfortunately, due to that busyness, my RPG posting has had to be focused on DSG. Im going away on Tuesday and wont be back until about the 10th of July. I will therefore be locking this topic now and, upon my return, will really work to get this RPG going, as I had hoped, and will be able to post a lot more.
Please look for my return and my post reinitializing the RPG. We wont be rewinding at all, but I will be putting us automatically, by default, up to the place I would like to be, which may or may not mean skipping a few days; it all depends.
Again, my apologies for the lack of posts, but when I return Ill start bringing this back up to speed and get it rolling again. I assure you that I will not allow this RPG to die. Anyways, heres my post before I request this to be locked: |
While the RPG is still unlocked, please DO NOT POST in the RPG.
