Captain's Log. Stardate-58636.76

It's been one day since I've asked Ziona to move in with me. After getting a quick and succesful surgery, she was healed of any ailments that plagued her. She is now in the process of packing her things to move in with me. I already know that many of the crew maybe...uncomfertable with it, but I could care less. I guess...I'd rather have the crew be uncomfertable then face the terrible news. Lieutenant Dave Grey had gone missing. He's vanished without a trace and no one can understand why. I was gonna order Blake to look into it until Ziona explained to me what happened. She said she couldn't reveal too much of why he dissapeared but she told me these...non corporeal aliens were involved and it saved her life and possibly the fate of trillions. I'm not some damn Vulcan and can coldly dismiss this as the...needs of the many. Grey was a damn good officer and he will be missed. I had planned on a ceremony in his honor, but I know the man would have hated that. So...to respect his last wishes, I had a moment of silence across the station and then...continued. That is what he would have wanted. Grey was the chief engineer since I first came onboard and he will be missed. Heres to you...

I've promoted the former assistant chief of engineering to chief engineer. Kiris Ditex is now a full lieutenant and has taken Grey's old job. He has big shoes to fill and I don't mean Grey's legacy. The station is MASSIVE and running a behemoth of this size takes a lot of work. I was also told by the engineering staff that Grey had been working on creating a starship. The station, besides having docking facitilities, had the capability to create ships. I've told Kiris that I want his work finished.

On another note, Starfleet wanted more diplomatic channels to be used during a time of war. We need allies and Starfleet Command has sent me a rather skilled diplomat. An ambassador represting Federation interests in this sector of space. I can't wait....

On that note, I think I'll have another drink in Grey's memory...

End log.

-DSG, Corridor outside of Ian's Quaters-

T'Sa walked down the corridor and stoped outside of Ian's quarters. She sighed quietly. The last couple day's have been...interesting. Aside from the distressing news of Dave Grey disapearing. It was unfortinate, she had not gotton the chance to know the man. No more then once or twice sadly. T'Sa decided she would see how Ian was doing, loosing someone under your command was...tough. T'Sa rang the chime.

The USS Firebrand, a defiant class ship, approched DSG.

=/\= Firebrand to Deep Space Gaurdian, Requesting clerance to dock.=/\=

Parker sat in the unusually cramped quarters untill the ship docked at the station, going over the crew personell files of the command staff, he liked to know the backround of the starfleet officers he was around.

Romulan Warbird Salara

NTran paced about the engine room. He kept looking over the engineers shoulder.
Is it done yet? The engineer shook his head.
Yes sir. Finally. I didnt realize how hard-coded the registry was until now. Ditex nodded. Now they could de-cloak and be seen again. If they hadnt used the stolen Federation technology they wouldnt be in this position. It didnt matter though. All of a sudden NTran heard a large explosive like sound.

Vorta Vor

When NTran opened his eye he saw the place where hed met his guardian angel or something to that effect. NTran stood up and looked around. A familiar voice spoke to him from behind.
Welcome back Admiral. NTran spun around to see the being hes spoken to before.
Am I dead? The being shook his head.
No, not yet anyway. NTran stared blankly for a moment.
Whats that supposed to mean and why the explosive sounds? The being smiled and chuckled.
Special effects. I dont get to use them much. NTran was annoyed.
Why am I here? The being motioned for NTran to follow. They walked to the edge of a clearing where a well was placed. The being pointed to the well.
Look inside. NTran edged closer.
What will I see? The being spoke softly.
The future of things to come if you are not more cooperative in the future. NTran didnt know what the being meant but if he was telling the truth, a look at the future could be very helpful. NTran peered into the well.

Temporal Ripples

It was as though NTrans consciousness had been pulled from him and into a fast moving stream. The first thing he could see clearly was fleets of Nautolian ships surrounding Romulus. The next thing he could see clearly was that the Romulan people had become all but extinct. He saw the takeover of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. The Nautolians spread like a vicious disease spreading from one place to the next. Nothing could stop them. Their numbers were to great. The next thing he saw was himself standing on the bridge of a Romulan ship. Admiral Donatra was there. She was dead. Another ripple passed in front of him. He saw himself in charge of what was left of his broken people. Another ripple crossed his path. He had died. TRell and the last of the Romulan fleet were destroyed in a battle near Elerra Prime. One more ripple passed by him. In this one he saw himself standing in Vorta Vor with TRell. He heard himself say something.
You dont have to understand. There is a second chance. Another flash and he was back standing next to the Romulan Elder.
Is this the future I face? The elder shook his head.
The odds are against you and your allies but the outcome is not set. The omnipotent beings of the cosmos have seen this future. I think they all agree that it is not one that we would like. NTran thought about it.
What must I do? The elder began to fade, his voice trailing behind.
remember the future With that NTran found him self back on the Salara.

DSG, Airlock

Dr. Rnal of Vulcan had come to DSG at Lieutenant Ditexs request. Hed said his friend was having a crisis. Behind Rnal was another women about Kiriss age. She had brown hair but the forehead markings of a Romulan. Kiris met the two of them at the Airlock.
Welcome aboard Doctor. Rnal nodded.
Where is your friend? Kiris shrugged.
Hes probably in his quarters with his girlfriend. I told them to expect you. Kiris handed a PADD to Rnal. It had the location of Corys quarters on it. Rnal wasted no time in taking off. Kiris was left with the women that Rnal had come aboard with.
What is your name? The women still carrying her luggage spoke.
VNel. And you? Kiris smiled.
Kiris Ditex. Chief engineer of the Station. VNel handed Kiris a few of her suitcases.
Checking in? The women nodded.
Only for a short while. I was told my father has been here recently. I wanted to see him. Her father?
Who is your father? The women searched her thoughts for a moment.
Commander TRell, hes in the Romulan Empire. Commander TRell was Kiriss fathers best friend.
I think I may know where to find him. Follow me. Kiris led the women away from the docking ring.

Special Forces, DSG Regiment Commanders Log, Stardate 58636.76.

Yesterday I had a pleasant lunch with Mystical Knight Niro Coron. I now consider him a dear friend, and truly believe him to be a follower of the Light.
I took him to Cheers, the holographic restaurant on the Promenade that is quite an accurate replica of the old 20th century sitcom bearing the same name.
Ive always enjoyed the bar since I came aboard the station and first visited it, and felt that Niro would like it to. He did, though much of it he did not understand. His comment was, I believe, that it was a pleasant place. [He releases a chuckle.]
At any rate, after a number of days home from the Nautolian listening post at the far reaches of the Vega System, I really feel the need to contact General Rieekan. I need to know if theyve contacted the Romulans yet, because I think the information provided to me by Romulan sub-commander Torrel on the station is more than invaluable, but must be shared with the Romulans. I am preparing to send a communication to the general in a few moments.
End log.

Computer, Federation Special Forces Major Kyle Katran said a few moments later, after some final thoughts. Open up a secure communication with General Rieekan. He stated the clearance code, and the communication opened up.
To his surprise it did, in fact, open up directly to General Rieekan, whose face appeared on the screen.

Major Katran, he greeted. To what do I owe the pleasure?
No pleasantries today, General, Katran replied, giving him a curt nod. I wanted to talk to you about the Romulan situation. Have Starfleet Command and the Federation Council contacted the Romulans about that information I passed on to you?
Rieekan shook his head. Major, he said, letting out a sigh, the evidence you presented to us was deemed by both bodies as inconclusive enough not to warrant contacting the Romulans. If we go to them with the information youve given us, theyll laugh in our faces. They know that an attack will happen sometime, but it is clear to Starfleet and the Council that the Romulans will simply state that it is a foolish attempt at drafting Romulan aide in the war. They know were on the losing end right now, Kyle, and that doesnt help, with all youve given us. It just isnt enough.
Kyle shook his head, angrily. General, this cant be done. It is absolutely imperative that the Romulans receive this information. Ill talk to them if I have to, but it has to be done. A Nautolian attack is imminent. It could come any day now. They need to know. We cannot let this attack happen!
Rieekan nodded. I sympathize with your situation, Major, he replied. If it were up to me Id do it, but I dont have that authority. If youre really serious about this, you need to contact Starfleet Command. I cant do anything about it.
Kyle shook his head again. I understand, General, he replied. Thank you for your time.
Rieekan gave a curt nod once again, stating plainly, Rieekan out.
With that the screen went blank and was replaced with the Special Operations logo.
Kyle was now quite frustrated. He needed to contact Starfleet Command himself, apparently, and knock some sense into them.
Well, he said to himself. I better give them a call.
He contemplated what he was going to say for a moment, and, once he gathered his thoughts, said, to the computer, Computer, contact Starfleet Command. Access code

DSG, Guest Quarters

Kiris led VNel to guest quarters. After they sat the bags down VNel spoke.
You said you could help me find my father? Kiris nodded.
Not directly. Though I do know a few standard Romulan frequencies. Kiris accessed the computer on the desk. He motioned for VNel to sit down.
You can broadcast your message on any of these channels. If hes within range hell get the message eventually. VNel sat down. She opened a channel.
This is Sub-Commander VNel of the Vulcan Science Academy attempting to get in touch with Commander TRell of the Romulan Empire. Im on the Federation Space Station, Deep Space Guardian. If anyone receives this message please relay it to him. She put the message on continuous transmission.

I hope someone gets it. I hope he gets it. Kiris nodded.
Im sure he will. Just give it time. VNel sat patiently. Kiriss combadge chirped.

Ensign Ryan to Lt. Ditex. Kiris tapped his combadge.
This is Ditex, go ahead.
Were ready to start programming the main computer core. We need your assistance. Kiris looked over at VNel.
You can go. Ill wait here. Kiris nodded and replied to the ensign.
Im on my way, Ditex out. Kiris left the guest quarters.

Romulan Battlecruiser TKere

A centurion was monitoring com channels. It was his job. One caught his ear. He opened the com.
Centurion Kdiv to Commander TRell. TRell sat up. It had been the first time in weeks hed been able to lay down without thinking anything. He turned on the com.
TRell, this better be good Centurion. There was a short pause.
There is a transmission for you sir. TRell wanted to sleep. He hadnt been able to for weeks. He sighed. It might be important.
Transfer it here. TRell was surprised by the person he saw on the screen. It was his daughter. The message played.

This is Sub-Commander VNel of the Vulcan Science Academy attempting to get in touch with Commander TRell of the Romulan Empire. Im on the Federation Space Station, Deep Space Guardian. If anyone receives this message please relay it to him.

TRell suddenly received a burst of adrenaline. He had to move. Computer, prepare my personal shuttle for immediate launch. The computer beeped.
Acknowledged.

DSG, Ziona's Quarters

Ziona took a rather tentative seat at the only thing that really remained in her quarters, her desk and console. Everything else had been shipped and sent to Ian's quarters. He would be expecting her there soon. It seemed strange to be taking such a daring leap... Ziona always was a more traditional person. A feeling inside of her always figured that moving in with someone either than your husband just was asking for problems. She had always guessed that was her mother in her. Her mother stood by her father, not matter what he did or where he went. Ziona was pretty sure her mother truly loved her father, but she wasn't sure if it was reciprocal.

Her father never really seened to care. He was always rushing around the galaxy with the Marines, picking up mistresses on this planet and that planet. He spent a lot of his time, during her childhood, on Risa and then on Terra Nova, his home planet. Ziona hardly saw him, except for a good deal between when she turned thirteen and sixteen. Then he seemed to be around a good deal more than she wanted him too.

It was when he was home, that her mother seemed to have the hardest time. It was as if putting on a good face was easier when her father was gone. When her father was home, it was as if her mother had to look at all the affairs and wrongs he had ever done to her. Then her mother got bitter and took it out on Ziona as well. It was a horrible time when her father was home. Ziona hated it.

A sigh escaped Ziona's lips as she opened up the console. All this talk of her bearing the child to save the universe had made her want to touch base with her parents: Her mother particularly but her father also. Even if her father didn't approve and seemed always to be cross with her, Ziona figured he at least deserved to be contacted once and a while. Ziona knew that she couldn't reveal everything to her parents. She wasn't even going to mention the whole experience she had had. Instead, these were going to be very to-the-point letters, as almost all her correspondence was to her parents. She hadn't send them messages in over a year. And a year ago, she didn't get a reply. She wasn't sure if it was because her mother didn't recieve the messages or because her father forbade her to respond. It was always a toss up when it came to things of that matter.

The first message she sent, in text form instead of feed form, was to her mother:

I just wanted to send you a little note in hopes that you are doing well on Earth. I take it you're still staying at the home on the ocean, just outside of San Fransisco. I hope the war hasn't reached too far into your life... even though I know with Alexander...

Ziona stopped and erased the name. It seemed too formal to call her father Alexander...

Even though I know with father gone it's as close as ever.

Now it seemed even stranger to call him father of all things. But then again dad sounded to strange as well, as did "your husband". Ziona kept it at father.

I'm still stationed aboard the Deep Space Guardian. I don't know if you knew that. I wasn't sure if father would tell you about my transfer. He came to DSG a while ago. It was a rather interesting encounter. Well, I just wanted to let you know that I was still around, that I hadn't died or been captured or wisked away to some unknown planet as a slave yet. Please, mother, write back. I suddenly feel as if I haven't seen you my whole life. Things have changed so much and I just want to know that you're still out there. Bye.

She didn't even sign it. Instead she just sent it, hoping that it reached her mother and that her mother would have the compassion to write back. Ziona could never really tell if her mother really did hate her life her father or if her mother simply acted as if she did, to stay on her father's good side. A sigh escaped Ziona's lips again as she started her second message, this time to her father:

Just wanted to let you know that everything on DSG is back to normal, now that all the Marines are gone. I'm still around, even if you don't like that, and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. I hope the war is going well for you. I don't keep up much on the war outside of our sector, it's not much of my business nor is it of interest.

Ziona felt anger and hate towards her father rising up in her throat and her letter simply got more vicious as she went on.

If you're ever in the area again, do me a favor and stop back to DSG. I didn't get to quite thank you the way I wanted to. It's been so much more pleasant since you're "boys" have be dismissed from duty here. See? Starfleet CAN function without the Marines, just thought I'd let you know. Have a great day!

Ziona sent that one with a rather furious touch to the console and then stood up, glancing around her room one more time before grabbing a small bag nearby and exiting, letting the doors shut behind her with a rather final and decisive swoosh.

DSG, Engineering Lab 3

Kiris was in the process of uploading the operating system into the computer core. Hed been given a load of work without being prepared for it. A new ship for one. The shell was nearly finished. Then they could start installing the modules for labs, quarters, etc. In the mean time programming the computer was what needed to be done. Kiris installed the next layer of memory crystal. He turned to the crewman beside him.
Install the system library. The crewman nodded. He began uploading the library. Not soon after there was a high pitched whistling sound. Kiris looked up, the memory crystal was overloading. His eyes widened.
Get down!!! The two of them hit the floor. There was a mild explosion. Crystalline fragments showered them. Kiris got up and dusted himself off as did the crewman.
What happened? The crewman ran a tricorder over the destroyed core.
The harmonic resonance was off. Kiris picked some fragments out of his hair.
Why? The crewman looked down.
I forgot to upload the data in blocks. Kiris nodded.
Well have to remember that next time. Get started on building a new computer core. The crewman sulked a little but got started. Kiris started to pick up the broken core. His combadge chirped.

Ensign Taylor to Lt. Ditex.
This is Ditex, go ahead.
Can you meet me in bay 17?
Im on my way. Ditex out.

Romulan Shuttle, Just off DSG

Computer, hail the station. TRell was anxious to get onboard.
Channel open. TRell thought about what hed say. He collected himself and proceeded.
This is commander TRell of the Romulan Empire. Im requesting permission to dock immediately.

DSG, Bay 17

Kiris was listening as Cory spoke to him in an angered tone.
You called a shrink? I cant believe you did that. She ordered an update on my psychological profile. Do you know how long that is going to take? Kiris nodded.
Yes, several hours. I suggest you get started. Cory was extremely annoyed.
I managed to convince her to wait until our mission is over. Kiris was confused.
Mission? Cory nodded.
Yes, our new sensor array. Its ready to go. We can leave anytime. Kiris remembered now.
Ill present our progress to the captain. In the mean time, run a few more simulations. Cory nodded. Kiris left the bay. He tapped his combadge.
Lt. Ditex to Captian Xavier.

"Enter." Ian said.

The doors opened and he saw his old mentor standing in the corridor-T'Sa. He hadn't seen her and told her the good news about Ziona.

"Take a seat." He said, motioning towards a chair.

-DSG, OPS-

Jones typed away at the console and saw an incoming hail. It was from the USS Firebrand. They were bringing in the diplomat assigned to the station.

"You're cleared for docking port 4." He said.

T'Sa nodded and entered the room. She moved towards the char and arched an eyebrow when she saw boxes of stuff, obviously not Ian's when she sat down. None of her business though. T'Sa looked to Ian.

"How are you, Ian?"

-DSG, Ian's Quarters-

Ian crossed the room, avoiding packed boxes crowding the living room. Nothing had been unpacked obviously since Ziona still hadn't come to his quarters. She was still clearing out her old one, making sure nothing was left behind. He placed his empty glass in the replicator and watched it dissapear.

"I'm well," He said to her, "Ziona...well...better know to you as commander Andreas...has decided to move in with me. I'm...taking the next step in our relationship."

Being so busy with command, Ian hadn't actually dated anyone for over three years. He was so focused on his career that any love interests that came along quickly were ignored by him. It was time for that to change. Ian didn't know what it was, but there was something special about Ziona. At the same time, his combadge rang out and his new chief engineer tried to contact him.

"Captain Xavier here," He said, "What can I do for you lieutenant?"

-DSG, OPS-

A Romulan ship was requesting permission to dock after the Federation ship. Jones opened a channel.

"You're clear for docking port 5." He said.

-DSG, Ian's Quarters-

T'Sa looked to Ian in surprise. Ms. Andreas was moving into Ian's quarters? How long had they been a couple? T'Sa was about to respond when he responded to a call on his Com badge. T'Sa looked down to the table in front of the chair, there was a picture frame, on it was Ian's parents. T'Sa picked it up, looking at the picture. T'Sa closed her eyes and sighed as memories came back of the two, the ones that helped shaped her life that she came today. She opened her eyes and looked back down at the picture. T'Sa sighed again, then sat the picture back down. She sat back in the chair something she rarly did, usually she sat on the edge of the chair, never allowing her self to relax in them, especialy in strange inviroments. Her mind wondered back to Ms. Andreas moving in. T'Sa decided that it could be a good thing for Ian, having someone. The right corner of T'Sa's lips moved slightly into a smile.

Good for you, Ian...

Romulan Warbird Salara

NTran had finally been able to sleep. The visit from his guardian still confused him. What were the beings motives? Why did he keep appearing to NTran? NTran saw KorTagh on that Klingon moon. An old mandieing. It was not a way for a warrior to die. In sickness on some nameless moon. NTran could hear the coughing and weezing of an old man. He had to do something. After NTran woke up he remembered his dream vividly. He approached and sat at his desk.
Computer, open a channel to the Klingon homeworld. NTran knew being polite to Klingons wouldnt get him anywhere so he spoke as a Klingon would. He raised his voice and proceeded to send a message.

This is Admiral NTran Ditex of the Romulan Empire. I demand to speak with the chancellor!!

DSG, Outside bay 17

Kiris heard the captains voice.
Sir, the new sensor array is ready for a field test. Id like to request the use of a runabout so Ensign Taylor and my self can take it through the wormhole to test it.

Romulan Shuttle

TRell had received clearance to dock at port 5. After some standard docking procedures he was onboard the station.

DSG, Docking Area

TRell opened his scanner and checked for the source of the transmission hed received. VNels biosignature was several levels away. TRell entered the nearest lift.

-DSG, Ian's Quarters-

Ian slowly nodded his head, even though the officer could not see it.

"Permission granted," He said, "I'd also like my chief science officer to accompany you two. She could make great use of the array and would be an excellant observer."

-N'Tran's Ship, Screen-

The Klingon on the screen laughed loudly.

"A Romulan dog does not demand an audiance with the chancellor." He said.

DSG, Docking bay 17

Kiris hadnt planned on additional people for this mission. It didnt matter though. They got to do it.

Acknowledged. Have her report to bay 17 as soon as shes ready. Ditex Out.

Romulan Warbird Salara

NTran became extremely annoyed as the Klingon laughed. Hed learned to tolerate it though.
Then tell him I request an audience. Or is that to much trouble for you?

DSG, Guest Quarters

VNel had still been waiting to hear from TRell. Shed began reading a book. She didnt get very far before there was a chirp at the door.
Enter. TRell walked in with a scowl on his face.
What are you doing here VNel? I told you never to come here.

-DSG, Ian's Quarters-

T'Sa sat and took the moment to meditate. She waited for Ian to speak with his officers on what it is they are doing with the sensor array. T'Sa opened her eyes again, and stared strait ahead, Nic entering her thoughts. She thought back to a day ago, accepting him as her...lover. T'Sa glanced over to Ian, and decided he should perhaps know. Initially, the sole reason for the visit was to see how he was holding up from events of the last few days, particually, his officer going missing.

-USS Hippocratic Oath, Captain's Ready Room-

Archer sat in his office, staring at the screen on his desk. The ship was finally returning to the station, after being away for several days, on various missions, and disasters. If felt good to get back home. He wondered how Ian was holding up.

-DSG, Ian's Quarters-

"Understood," He said, "Xavier out."

He tapped his combadge once more.

"Xavier to Lieutenant Roberts," He said, "Report to landing pad 17. You're accompanying the chief engineer and astrometrics on a mission."

He looked back at T'Sa and walked towards her. Ditex had been working on a sensor array that was slightly more advanced than the one being used. He would implement it on the other terminus of the wormhold that led to the Delta quadrant. If it worked properly, they would have faster response time with sensors and so many ships wouldnt have to be sent to the other side. Tests in the holodeck showed the technology worked. Now...it was time to see if that was the case.

"How are you?" He asked.

-Klingon Homeworld-

The Klingon looked at the smart mouth Romulan in disgust.

"Unlike Romulan leaders," He said, "Our leaders work and fight! He is too busy to talk to you. What is it you want?"

A civil war was occuring in the Klingon empire. It would have ended much earlier but thanks to Fito, it is now being dragged out, forcing the Klingons to not be able to assist the Federation with Fito.

-DSG, Ian's Quarters-

T'Sa looked to Ian, he had apparently cleared what ever business he had to with the officer on the other end.

"Good"

T'Sa looked to Ian puzzingly for a moment. The man seemed to have some sort of... glow.

"I mean, I am fine. Things have been...quiet."

--DSG, Special Ops HQ--
After roughly twenty minutes of waiting, Special Forces Major Kyle Katran was finally patched up to Commodore William Jefferson who worked at Starfleet Command.
Commodore Jefferson, Katran greeted. You look well.
Thank you, Major, Jefferson replied. You are yourself. Unfortunately I dont have time for chatter, so weve got to get right down to business. Now, what is it you wanted to Starfleet Command about?
With all due respect, Admiral, the major began to respond, I would like to cut through the chase and go right on through to Command itself.
Im afraid I cant do that, the Commodore replied.
Why not? the Major questioned. Ive never had this problem before. Its imperative that I talk with someone like Admiral Janeway immediately.
Jefferson shook his head again. Starfleet Command is currently tied up in a pressing meeting about the warfront. Please tell me what it is you want and I will relay it to them.
I would just as soon talk to them when theyre done, Kyle insisted.
Please, Major, just tell me what it is you want and Ill do what needs to be done, the commodore shot back.
Kyle sighed. What was this guy thinking? Very well, Commodore, he said. Im contacting Starfleet about the Romulan information General Rieekan relayed to them a short time ago.
Commodore Jefferson nodded. I figured as much, the man replied. He smacked his lips. Im afraid a decision has been made, and Starfleet has made its final decision. There is not enough evidence, they contend, to prosecute this effort. Starfleet Command, along with the Federation Council, will not contact the Romulans.
Kyle shook his head. This is ridiculous, he said, loudly. An ally is going to be attacked any time now and yet the Federation wont warn them of this threat!? How can this be?
I dont make the rules, Major, William answered. I just enforce them and carry out my orders.
Come on, Commodore! Katran shouted. Surely you must understand the need to contact the Romulans and warn them of this serious threat!?
Jefferson nodded. I cant say I disagree with you, Major, he began, but Katran interjected, stating, Then help me!
The commodore shook his head. I cant, he insisted.
Why not? Katran pressed.
I have my orders, Jefferson said. Jefferson out.
And with that the communication was terminated and the Starfleet Command logo replaced the screen.
Kyle scoffed. What could he do now? General Rieekan wouldnt help. Starfleet Command wouldnt cooperate. The Federation Council wouldnt--
But wait. There was one individual in that body that Kyle then thought he might just be able to contact. If he couldnt get action to be done, there would only be one other route to go, and Katran didnt want to do that unless it was a last resort.

DSG, Guest Quarters

VNel put the book down.
No father. You told me not to come to Romulus. Were not on Romulus are we? TRell exmined hew for a moment.
Dont get smart with me young women. Why are you here? TRell sat down next to her. VNel shifted positions.
Mother was called here on the request of one of the officers. I decided to accompany her. TRell stood up again.
Your mother is here? VNel nodded.
Yes she is. TRell felt something. He wasnt sure what it was.
Where is she now? they heard the door open and close behind them.
Behind you. TRell turned around. It was Rnal. TRell stood dumbfounded. Rnal sighed.
It is agreeable to see you again.

Romulan Warbird Salara

I cant speak for the rest of the Romulan leaders but for myself I do not fear going into battle. I work and fight. I will do anything I ask my officers to do. NTran replied, My business is with the chancellor. I reserve the right to keep my business private until I speak with him.

-DSG, Ian's Quarters-

Ian slowly nodded in agreement while taking a seat in the large couch in his quarters. Even though Ziona was moving in, they didn't have to change to larger quarters. The captain's quarters were much larger than the average officer's quarters.

"Indeed it has," He said, "Can't say that I'm upset about it. No Fito is always a good thing."

-Klingon Homeworld-

The Klingon was getting tired of talking to the Romulan. He was being stubborn and had the audacity to think that anyone who wanted to speak to the chancellor would get to. That wasn't done for Humans, much less Romulans.

"Then I can not help you." He replied.

"Indeed. However, we must not allow our selves to get used to the quiet. We'll hear from Fito again."

T'Sa shifted slightly. She moved in the chair again, making sure to sit on the edge, not relaxing.

"Ian, I thought perhaps you should know...."

T'Sa shifted again.

"I've....entered a relationship."

T'Sa looked down slightly, wondering the mans response. The picture frame entered her view again.

-DSG, Ian's Quarters-

Ian laughed at her in surprise.

"You?" He asked.

He couldn't believe it. It seemed love was in that air around DSG. Next thing he'll know, the EMH will be dating the replicator.

"With who?" He asked.

-DSG, Ian's Quarters-

T'Sa looked up at him when he laughed.

"What?"

She shook her head as if to tell him to forget it when he then asked another question. T'Sa looked to Ian, her eyes brightend slightly at mentioning the name.

"Nicodemus Thiandrus, the onwer of Star's End"

T'Sa looked at Ian, indeed, she could understand why he was surprised.

Romulan Warbird Salara

NTran sighed. He wasnt getting anywhere with this Klingon.
Im tired of debating this with you. Ill be seeing you soon. NTran closed the channel.
NTran left his quarters and went to the bridge.
Helm, set a course for the Klingon Homeworld. Warp Six. The helm officer turned around.
Sir? NTran sat down.
I need to speak with someone in person. The com lines wereclogged. The helmsman nodded.
Aye sir. Warp 6.

DSG, Guest Quarters

TRell felt a tingling sensation all over his body. He hadnt seen Rnal in years.
Were here on business husband. Why are you here? TRell sat down again.
I came here with Admiral Ditex. Weve left the Romulan Empire. Its not the one we knew. Rnal sat down.
Your are upset by having to leave. TRell nodded.
How long are you here for? Rnal responded.
A few days until my patient comes back. Then well be returning to Vulcan. TRell had an idea.
Will the two of you join me for dinner this evening? Rnal knew TRell in ways no one else did.
Im not sure that would be a good idea. TRell knew what she was talking about. He grabbed her hands and held them in his.
Im not the person I used to be. Please allow me to prove that to you. Rnal looked at VNel and intiated a telepathic link.

What do you think daughter?
I think we can give him a chance mother. His heart seems to be in the right place for once.

Rnal nodded.
Very well. We will join you.
