I liked VOY the most, of course. This still is startrekVOYAGER.com
My second is ENT, but probably because i haven't seen TNG in a long time and never TOS.

I would have to say that Voyager is by far my FAVORITE show...
But DS9 had really great chemistry between the characters, did have alot of twists and such...but wasn't the most successful...Hence they still haven't had a movie!
I would have to say that TNG is obviously the most successful. It's made 4 movies, alot of good storylines. Believable characters yes, but not the greatest chemistry between them. I mean, they were good, but just kind of lacking something that DS9 had.
I'm not even going to touch ENT...
And of course TOS was the ground breaker for all the series that followed...
So TNG was the most successful series.

Star Trek: The Next Generation was the most popular show. It was the most watched and lasted the longest with 7 Seasons and 4 movies. All round i would say TNG was the best and most popular. All round of course. lol.

Well, it depends what you want to call 'successful' If it's in the area of most known with chars or what not, then TOS/TNG, in the such of how it was received and such, then yeah, sure I'll say TNG.
My Favorit? It keeps fluctuating, a couple months ago it was DS9, before that it was VOY, now it's ENT. All depends on what series I am watching the most of at the time I am asked that question.
And carful reserach showed that Ent vilotated more timeline canon in the fans eyes then it actually did, so pttthhhhpppp.
DS9? Well, that was good in terms of continuality, for the most part, it didnt really have an episodic format, things that happend in say season one for example, might came back to haunt someone as late as the final season and not the typical "Remember when that happend (number here) Year(s) ago?" It had wonderful story arcs and took many, many great risks, it was set on a space station, it had a war that lasted seasons, not episodes, the Dominion was one large story arc with hints to them as early as season one or season two.
Voyager: One of the latest series, it came out at treks current "peak" so to speak, while not a total failure, it does repete it selfe, but that doesnt sway the loyal fan base of that serieis, let alone the Trek fans.
Enterprise: I loved this series, and even though I grew up with the other series, this one is the one I like the most, While the production admits to 'bending the rules a little" It's not as harsh as many fans claim. Recent research shows that the "Violations" came from mostly 'fanon' (IE, Canon made by fans so in short it's not actually canon). Unlike the other series, Enterprise had a pretty good season one, the actors were for the most part, already expearienced in Sci-Fi. If i had to choose the best trek with a first season, Enterprise would take the gold. Again, the actors were beliveible from the begining, I wont even get into the tirade of the insualt of the final episodes (Even openents of the show agree that it;s an insualt)
TOS: It started it all, with out this series, we very well would probably not have trek. We owe TOS everything we have today.
TNG: The orgional fan base was grown up, and getting on in life, (some anyways) TNG was made due to a demand for more trek, and the TOS movies while not total box office smashes, showed that there was still a fan base, and it was only going to grow. TNG re sparked trek, and made new fans. This show was a bit of a risk to, it was set 70+ years after TOS, a big risk indeed...

I think that TNG was the most successfull. That doesn't mean it's my favorite, but I think it did better than any of the other series.

TOS: Silly, dated but fun hokum from the 1960s.
TNG: Silly, dated but fun hokum form the late 80s and early 90s.
DS9: Can get up it's own backside at times, but the most "successful" in terms of writing, characters and setting.
VOY: Very lightweight and foamy show, with three mediocre episodes for every good one, this is when the Trek franchise ground to a hault. I really liked Jeri Ryan, Robert Picardo, Jennifer Lien and Roxanne Dawson, but I never been hugely impressed with the series as a whole.
ENT: A flawed show whose's awfulness has been greatly overexagerated by the millions of malcontent (and psychotic) Trek fans. I firmly believe the first season was actually pretty good, Season Three was the best Trek season since DS9 went off the air and Season Four was a TOS-style tour de force. Will get round to getting the full DVD collection.

As far as most sucessful outside the trek world I would have to say TOS or TNG...most people you talk to know those series and recognise the characters. Within the trek world I would say that DS9 was more sucessful, I just run into more trekkies who like DS9 above the others. My personal favorite (which is odd because I never got to see most of it as it aired) is TNG, DS9 second.

Most Sucessful?
Without a doubt, TNG. I also think it was the best ST series. In the beginning it was too much like the original, very hookie and melodramatic...but in time it evolved to be one hell of a Trek.

D.S.9 is my favourite.
I liked almost all the characters, it had some of the best character development in all Star Trek (Dukat, Odo, Garak, Kira, Sisko, Bashir etc.), it introduced us to great new races (The Dominion, The Breen & The Prophets) and developped old ones (Bajorans, Cardassians, Ferengi, Romulans & Klingons), it had a great consistant storyline & it was Star Trek in a way we had never seen before.
TNG is definately my number 2

My favorite series is Voyager seasons 1-3. It's the show where I really like all the main characters who were unique and fascinating.
When it comes to popularity, I guess that TNG has the biggest fanbase. Even fans of the other series seems to like Picard and his crew. Me too!
DS9 has an aredent group of fans who really love the series but I don't think there are as many as the TNG fans. As for me, DS9 was OK, some really good storylines and characters.
Voyager has a decent fanbase too but my guess is that it's somewhat smaller than the DS9 fanbase and also somewhat split up because of certain events in the series. Some people like seasons 1-3 and some people like seasons 4-7.
TOS is popular and respected by almost every Star Trek fan because that show is the foundation for all that we like. But I'm not so sure how mant there are who have TOS as their favorite show. But I do think that it's a stable group of fans out there of which many has been there from the start in 1966. I like TOS and it's sometimes fun to watch the old heroes who started it all.
Enterprise is probably the least popular but still have some ardent fans. I never really liked that series.

TOS is the most popular, as it made 6 movies and is liked by all fans for it being the first star trek series that started it all

Voy is my favo cause the subject about being warped away to the other side of the galaxy with no other reinforcements travelling 70.000 lightyears back home.
TNG is second cause they had real good episodes.
