Has anybody seen this yet?! I think its great! I have always wanted to see a female president. I was begining to think id have to write my own book just to see it lol. Ive only seen the first two episodes of Commander in Chief so far but i think its excellent. In my opinion Geena Davis is perfect for that role.

I've seen a few episodes and it's pretty good, I will admit. However, it clearly is a Hillary Clinton '08 prep show. Just look at all the Clinton advisors on this single show, which is pushing a Hillary agenda.
So, yeah. It's a fine show, but it's clearly a Hillary prep show

I saw the first few eps and I thought it was really good. Specifically the focus on her personal difficulties managing a family and a presidency, and the twist that she wasn't quite elected and that it seemed like her against the rest of the government/country.

However, when they switched writers and began to focus on more 24 like drama (terrorist attacks, etc.) I lost interest. I felt like it lost what had made it so special at that point.

But I hear it's getting back on track, which makes me hopeful

And I doubt it's a Clinton prep show...I highly doubt Clinton would settle for being a token VP

Token VP? The President is a female who's quite hawkish. The show has several KEY Clinton advisors on its board or whatever.
It's definitely a show prepping people for not only a woman president, but a Clinton presidency.
However, I doubt this topic was intended to discuss the real motives behind the show, but rather the show itself.
As I said, I've seen several episodes of the show and it's definitely a fine show. So there. A fair and balanced perspective

Yeah, I understand that now, after reading Wikipedia on it. She was elected as VP and then the President was killed, causing her to take her place.
But that doesn't mean anything, as she's still a female president and there are still Clinton advisors, etc.
Anyways, I'm doing what I said we shouldn't do, so moving on...

Also we see Captain Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner) show his head in the second episode. I was wondering when Tron would pop up on screen again

I agree the way they are showing the President handle family life is very interesting. Also quite funny seeing Mackenzies husband coping with being the first male first lady

To me Commander in Chief is a lightweight popversion of Westwing. It is way to sensational. There is a nuclear crisis, a world war, a highjacking og Airforce One or similar things happening all the time.

And at the same time it is way to family oriented as we constantly see what her mother or children are up to.

I mean how realistic is it that her son or whatever throws a party and the kids run around the halls og the Whitehouse kissing and whatever they are doing?

Also I do not understand why she is constantly hanging around with her political opponent / enemy Sutherland.

This is not meant to be trolling.

Most of that stuff happened in the middle of the season, when they had that other guy as the executive producer. The start and end of the seasons are much much much better
