The National Archives suffered some damage due to the massive amounts of rain Monday and Tuesday.

Among the other building damaged: the IRS and at least one museum had to shut down (I want to say it was the Museum of American History where they have the Muppets display, but I'm not sure.)

I have never seen D.C. so soggy and such, even after Isabel hit a few years ago. The strangest part is it wasn't even a tropical storm or anything, it was just an unending string of heavy thunderstorms. When I went to bed one night the lightning was so heavy it looked like a strobe light.
