Entry: DS9 poetry competition

I heard recently about a competition for Deep Space 9 poetry writers- on the Battle of Cardassia Prime- thought I'd share first verse with you

From Earth to Qu'nos, back to Deep Space Nine
A tapestry of ships that knit the stars
Shadows o'er every pulsar and cepheid
A fleet of exploration, armed for total war,
For the Federation, a Quadrant's revenge is sought
The admirals pace, debate taking Empok Nor,
And know wars are sweet to they who know one naught
