At this point in time, we know little about Trek XI. We know it will happen, but we do not know what it is about. We will have to wait and see.

Now, one thing I like about the Star Trek universe is the amount of parallel universes and other dimensions. It makes the Trek universe so much more exciting and has resulted in some great stories over the years. So, here's a hypothetical question - if you could choose, which dimension would you like to see represented in a future Trek movie? Please choose one and also say why you've chosen it.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing The Nexus in a future Trek movie. I thought The Nexus was a very interesting concept in the Trek universe, and one that could have been looked at in more depth if Generations had been longer. Whether you could write an entire film about The Nexus is debatable, but I'd certainly welcome seeing it one more time.

My second choice would be The Q Continuum. I've always been interested in that plane of existence. We still know little about it. I'm not sure if it's been explored more in Trek novels, but I know that it'd certainly be interesting to see The Q in a future Trek movie, especially if John de Lancie were to reprise his role as Q.

Great topic.

Lets see, for a movie? I'm not too sure. I love DS9 as everyone knows, but I'm not sure if seeing the Bajoran wormhole would be interesting. Not unless they show it different. Same with the Q continuum. The problem with a different realm is that the Human mind can barely fathom something....new and strange. VOY completely cheapened the continuum. Instead of this...fantastic world we saw...Human stuff, because "Humans can't comprehend what it really looks like". Such a cheap cop out. The same thing happened with DS9. The wormhole inside was beautiful but when we went into the Celestial Temple part with the Prophets, it would always look BRIGHT white or a ship/station with a strange color. I wish they would just get creative minds to make this....evolved and beautiful, spiritual world.

As for the Nexus, doesn't it not have one specific look, but what you find perfect?

I would love to see what being IN the Great Link is like. Having all thoughts within your mind and exchanging ideas and feelings. Unfortently, that can't be conveyed either....

So I'm undecided I think...

The Mirror universe of course. They should make a totally new show bout that, it will rock.

That's right. When a human being enters The Nexus, it creates whatever universe a particular person desires, hence the reason Picard had his own children in that reality. Obviously, the movie Generations had a story to tell and couldn't really explore the concept of The Nexus, but I'd welcome seeing it again in either a Trek movie or TV episode. It's best not to overdo any idea, though.

Right now, it looks like the Mirror Universe is the most popular. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing it on TV again when Trek returns to the small screen.

It'd be cool to see it on the big screen There's so much to explore in the MU, and with a Movie budget...wow...
