The electromagnetic effects between stars and even galaxies has been largely ignored by cosmologists in the past, citing how little difference they make.

But I read recently how a new computer model which takes at least some EM effects into account has produced the best simulation of how our universe went from just after the big bang to the present day.

I think it would be awesome to send a tough and long-lived probe along the Sun's path around the galactic core. It would be worthwhile to get advanced info on whatever we will come across in the future (charged particle storms, gas clouds, dust clouds, etc.)

That really is cool I love anything about space... it's just so interesting and explorative.
