Don't understand me wrong. I love happy endings but Voyager had a darker and more intense theme than any other show in Trek franchise. In my opinion if Voyager was left in Delta Quadrant , still strugling to get home after a finale type episode like Endgame or be destroyed in a last finale battle against Borg ( meanwhile damaging Borg Collective fatally )....maybe only ships logs and Doctor could be downloaded to Federation computers , rest of the ship's crew perished. So we listen crew's last mission from Doctor and Catain's logs from anotherr perspective. That kind of an ending would be different and more original.

True that would definately be an original ending, but for those of us who loved voyager, it wouldnt be the ending that we wanted...i could have lived with not getting home sure, because that would have left open a movie (very easily) but seeing them get home because of futuristic technology and a second Janeway...i think that was original in itself
