Was trying my hand at a all photoshop space pic.

Also wanted to try the text effect thing that Hathway recommend.

That's an awesome nebula, and one very funky planet.
Not too fond of the star though. One thing I find useful now in creating stars in the not too distant background, is to create a fairly small lens flare, then create a layer on top set to linear dodge, and then use a paint brush to create the surrounding light. Adjusting the size of the brush and the amount of opacity will then dictate how big/close the star is and how bright. Also useful for switching colours for it instantly too.

Yeah, the stars are a tad flat. Good distance and size variation between them though. And the nebula is beautiful, it reminds me of the Northern Lights

The stars were just a test techinque i was trying that did not work, so i will not use those types any more. Thanks about the Nebula though, i like it to, adds a scene of calm to the overall picture in my opinion.

TrekkieMage you hit the nail right on the head with the Northern Lights, I knew it reminded me of something.

I really like the planet. It's very cool and, if i'm not wrong, you can see mountains on it, lol. The Nebula is also very cool, great work!
