She came to My Local Forbidden Planet Store, I remember seeing a Sign saying "Hot Star Trek Babe in here signing autographs" I obviously thought Well "Todays the day I meet Ezri Dax or Seven" I nearly had a Cardiac Arrest to see it was Nichelle Nichols (Spelling) I couldn't be bothered waiting for an Autograph though because I needed to get back to my Work Experience

Uhura was really smart. Look at the way she handled Sulu in Mirror, Mirror. And to have a woman on a TV show actually doing a technical job was definately a step forward....
One of my favorite scenes with her is where she puts the young lieutenant in the closet with the phaser in Star Trek III after he's been talking about wanting more adventure and telling her about how her career is winding down.
"I'll have Mr. Adventure here eating out of my hand."

lol Uhura was pretty cool...but her character never realy had any HUDGE impact into the episodes...okay...well...maybe she did in a few...
