Question: Who is the most intelligent person you know?
Mine would have to be, naturally...me. What can I say, I'm an absolute genius--especially when it comes to politics!...

...Well, unfortunately that's not quite the case

, so, um, the most intelligent person I know would have to be my AP Human Geography teacher. A practicing lawyer for 25 years and knows so much--he can teach the class incredibly well...I'd have to say that he's the most intelligent person I know.
While I think he's wrong on a large number of political issues, he's still definitely the most intelligent person I've ever met. He knows what he's talking about, by far.
Oh, yeah. Did I mention he went to Harvard (and graduated)?

Most intelligent person i know other than myself would be my cousin, he is only 19 and already holds a Master's Degree and is currently working for NASA as a AeroSpace engineer or something like that. And has gotten an award for his designing of something for the space sation that was given to him by President Brush JR.

Wow! That's awesome! Must be so cool having a cousin who's done so much. And yeah. Definitely smart

I have a cousin who's in his 20s and works for Boeing in the same field. Not quite the same, but when you have someone who does something like that in your family...that's cool.

You really have to quantify intelligence. If you're talking about straight scientific knowledge, my boss is ingenuitous and knows way too much about biology, Grant rocks. If you're talking socially smart, my grandfather is the most intelligent family, friend and business man I've ever encountered--a great teacher of the kinds of things you don't learn in books, though he's sharp in math and all. The kind of practical wisdom that he champions is something I can't attribute to Grant, as much as I like Grant and respect his mind. Then there's my Crititical Thinking teacher--wonderfully curious philosopher, caring guy with a great passion for literature and art of the mind and spirit. I would call that another kind of intelligence that's as important as all the rest, but different in its own way. I couldn't place one against the other, because to compare their knowledge isn't fair, or even possible, for me.

Well, if they're in different categories then that's fine. I meant in general, but you can get more specific into different categories if you like.

I agree with you, Superman. I mean, there are people who are incredibly intelligent yet use that intelligence for evil.
Yet this one teacher I know (not personally) teaches at my middle school. He really is a mathematical genius. And yet, with all the things he could do with that, he's chosen to teach.
Similar is the case with my AP Human Geo teacher. Sure, he was a lawyer for 25 years, and may not have used, in some cases, his intelligence for what could better society (I believe he defended some guilty clients and stuff), he's chosen to live out the rest of his days as a teacher. And he could still be a lawyer, making millions of dollars representing businesses and corporations like Richmond Homes. Instead, he's decided to grade essays and teach.
People who use their intelligence for something like that are defininitley worthy of gratitude and whatnot.

My brother. He is amazingly intelligent.

Also, my maths teacher. Very intelligent, very knowlegable.

I'm smart, but not really intelligent. I can just do stuff. *shrug*

The most intelligent person I know...That's a tough one. Like Exalya said, there's too many kinds of intelligence. Although if I had to pick just one right off the top of my head, it would be my government teacher (who teaches both regular and AP). She speaks with a spectacular vocabulary, and knows so many facts and statistics without needing notes or anything of the like. She's also been to some really neat places, in 1999 she went to Africa on a Fulbright scholarship and really pulled a lot from it.

She also has one of the most wonderful attitudes towards learning that I've ever encountered

My AP Human Geo teacher's been around to several (but not many) different places around the world. He teaches AP Government and Politics as well, which I'm going to take next year, and, like your teacher, Trekkie, knows so many facts and statistics off the top of his head and has a spectacular vocabulary.
Plus, as I said before, he was a lawyer for 25 years and therefore knows a lot about law and government, and graduated from Harvard.

Yeah. My teacher is a lot of fun. She keeps all sorts of newspaper clippings and articles and makes copies for us all to read. Plus we get the added twist that she actually lives in D.C., and just the proximity for all of us gives us a bit of an edge in the class (whether she was teaching it or not). But yeah, in her classroom she's got advertisements from interest groups taped up so we can see, as well as a RNC calendar of Bush to demonstrate some of the subtle stuff presidents do (they have to be kind of like royalty and commoners at the same time, so 1/2 of the images he's in buisness casual and the other 1/2 he's in a suit).

Yeah, gov't teachers have an awesome job. The ciriculum is constantly getting a new twist.

thats a hard one,

I could talk about my special needs person, who turned a very vilent missunderstud child into this person you see now,

I could talk about the scientists who've envented a outfit that helps people who are disabled be able to have more control over there body actions.

Or I could talk about the humon computer,

I could even talk about myself but to me personaly the most intelegent person I knew was an old man in his 80's,

His name was Jack Athlick, and god this man was smart,
He'd traveled the world, been in the navy and the raf, hed had two wives,
but the best reasion I think he was the smartest man I know was the advice he gave me,

I was not that much younger, and he turned around one night and gave me some of the most important stuff a young man needs,

Advice on life.

the way he said it it hit home and it hit hard home.

a month later he died,

but he is still the most intelegent man I ve known

he was smart, well verst in life, yet he had time for a young boy who was a truble maker, he met him by sear noughtyness, I threw snowballs of his house, but this old man made friends, and tought me lost of life,

everything from life to how to fix bikes, (the pedal type)

Mr. Hamilton, the chemistry teacher at my old high school. He knew almost all there was to know about biology, chemistry, micro-biology, math, physics, and I'm sure he knew some other subjects. He was also a very athletic man, especially for being on the verge of retirement. He was head of the tennis team.

You give him 123.463546 x 10^8 / 45.34554 x 10^-6 and he'd work it out in his head in like 15 seconds without any tools (ie pencil, calculator, etc) and often be only like a very slight fraction off if he was wrong at all...

Although... He did need paper and a pencil to do 39 + 11.... lol

The president of UAlbany, maybe. I don't really know him that well, and have only met him a few times. But he's a lawyer, has written a bunch of books about the American judicial system, runs a college, and carries out an entire political agenda.

But I guess personally, it would probably be my mother. She had a 3.8 GPA in college and usually gets whatever she wants, whether it's at work or anywhere else. She's in charge of a really big operation at SUNY, so I guess the way she manages to juggle it all is pretty amazing.

Monsignor Broderick was definately the most intelligent and wise person I have ever known. I don't think I have ever had so much respect for someone.

The most intelligent person I know is my grandfather. He seems to have insight on every subject that might come up in a conversation. He was an Air Force engineer during WWII and flew in aircraft as the dropped paratroopers. After that he was station in Biluxi, Mississippi where he served on the Presidents honor guard when he visited the base. Hes also the nicest person I know.

This really depends on what type of intelligence your talking about. I have a few friends that are really indepth on certain issues like computers to cars.. If it's general knowledge between math, science, english, etc. I wouldn't know where to start. There are a lot of people that are smart in one area and are not in other areas. But in the end I pick God (Yes, I do believe that I know God even if it's not in a physical form or another)... He is all knowing and I believe I have a strong faith. There really isn't one person on the face of this planet but If I had to choice... I wouldn't know where to begin.
