I think I have some ideas that could probaly help you out alot.

heres one

Adapting Poisons
Lets say you have a nasty poison which hurts bacteria alot and such but it also hurts humans right???

then its simple how you take care of the problem using it

lets say it damages the liver

you put in some medication (which doesnt Interact with the Poison)
which boost the livers strength or whatever the thing thats being harmed is by the medicine.

Then if the poison goes into the area and such but youve got protection to counteract its damage

or if you simply build an Immunity slowly but surely over the years.

To a Ultra powerful anti-biotic
but which is toxic normaly
but if your Immune but then you get diseased then you can use it without having it worry as much making Some medicines which before Were not usable but afterwords would be usable see???

Sorry if I'm offending you but I don't think this works, because you don't always know you have cancer, I know this from experience, and there still is no medicin against cancer. If there was they would've tested it on living people. This is my point of view.

Ya.....I think the worlds most expert doctors would of either tried that already and failed miserably or bypasted it altogether cause it simply wouldn't work.....don't ask me i'm no doctor but I'm sure they would've done something like that already.

I agree with ~seven~ and my theory it that they have tried and failed. I know when my dad had cancer they were trying some newer expermental drugs with him, which were somewhat toxic. The newer medicines I do believe helped him live a little longer, than without the medicines (my opinion).

P.S. My dad passed in march of 2001

Got any cures for AIDS? The Clap? Yellow Fever? Smallpox? Anthrax? Genital Warts? Arthritis?

If we can manipulate matter at it's atomic level we can cure all kinds of deceases... but not all ofcourse... HIV and cancer wouldnt be any problem...
Futhermore there should be some kind of reaction that can be made by mixing the HIV virus or cancer. So it will neutralize the decease....

It should take long before we can/will tough or it will be discovered by accident as most of these kind of things

Smallpox? You get vaccinated against that when you are young, it is pretty much eradicated. There hasn't been a big outbreak since the last big outbreak in Yugoslavia in 1972
