It's all here.

Personally, I don't think it should be a problem. The job that police officers do is important and the public need to have confidence that they are in full possession of their faculties . However, in this day and age, I'm not sure whether serving officers are going to be too happy about drug testing - some of them may think it is infringing their rights. We shall have to see.
