I went to the local planetarium the other day ... I thought it was pretty neat how they had all the stars and constellations mapped out on the projector-thingy in the center ... The dude that was running the show said that the projector cost about a million bucks ... I wonder how long it took the people who made it to map out the stars perfectly ... They also have Pink Floyd laser shows every now and then and they sure are a trip ... ... Has anyone else here visited a planetarium?

There was a planetarium exhibit as part of a larger science centre that we used to have here in Thunder Bay, and I visited it once on a school field trip. It wasn't that awesome compared to other planetariums, but it was pretty neat.

I've been to the planetarium in the Liverpool Museum dozens of times. Love the shows... travelling to the outer planets and such.

There was also one I went to in Charlotte, NC once ... it was bigger and you could watch movies across the ceiling ... that one was awesome ...

I went to a planetarium once and was thoroughly bored... I'm not sure if I was just at a bad one or what. I'd much rather visit an observatory.

The one in the Liverpool Museum you watched on the ceiling- the only problem is you'd have a bad neck when you come out!

I went to the really big planetarium in NY. I think it was in the Hayden Sphere, but I could be wrong.

There's one at the NYS Museum, which is only a few minutes away. I don't think it's all that interesting.
