Mon Jan 09, 2006 6:24 am Vice President Dick Cheney hospitalized |
|
Just broke on the news:
Quote: | WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney was taken to George Washington Hospital early Monday experiencing shortness of breath, a spokeswoman said.
Lea Anne McBride said that doctors found his EKG unchanged and determined he was retaining fluid because of medication he was taking because of a foot problem.
Cheney, who has a history of heart problems and has a pacemaker in his chest, was placed on a diuretic.
McBride said the vice president was expected to be released from the hospital later Monday. A foot ailment forced Cheney to use a cane on Friday.

Wow, he's really not in such good health...I knew he'd been hospitalized for that heart attack (was that what it was?), but sheesh!
He'll pull through it........if my Vietnam godfather could survive like 40 heart attacks, no joke, something tells me Cheney can get over this.
I hope he's alright though, it must be stressful....

Taking into consideration, the condition of his heart, I would say his expiration isn't far off. Cold heartedness aside, he's an atrocious vice president.

That doesn't mean he deserves to die.

And this will be your last chance. If you can't conduct yourself in a civil, humane manner, I'll remove you from WN for awhile.

Yeah, to say that this vice-president, for all intents and purposes, deserves to die is wrong.
But I digress.
I am very glad he came out okay, and hope that he continues to do as well as he can, considering his heart condition.

The vice president needs to work out and lose all that weight before he gets a massive heart attack.

I'm sure that the stress from his job can't be helping very much. I do hope he recovers though. Perhaps they'll let him take a nice long break at the president's ranch.

Yeah...I personally believe that he's one of our state's better vice-presidents. It would be a shame to lose him.
(state is used in the geographically correct sense as country)

No matter how much I may disagree with some of the things he has said and done during his Vice-Presidency, I still would never wish harm upon him.
