I agree with both of you, on all fronts.
I can't wait for X3, but have mixed feelings about this movie...

i think i speak for the minority when i say: WHY?!
wolverine Doesnt need a seperate film they coulda just incorporated it into X3

Well, Wolverien has his own comic, it actually does quite well, how they handel the movie depends....
Jackman does well with Wolverine, lets hope the good works keeps up.

Maybe because Wolverine is a complex character. One theme that ran for years in Wolverine's solo comic was his search for who he was and where he had come from. He could not be sure who he was or which of his memories were true, and which were false. If the movie was about Wolverine's search for himself, with a good villain and some good fight scenes thrown in, then it could be a great movie.

Yeah I'll wait until I see this movie to make a full assesment, but I agree that following his comic book storyline almost, could make for a good movie...and maybe lead to movies about the backgrounds of the other X-Men, maybe. Mostly though, I am just itching to see X3 in May.
