Quoting a Syrian police source and diplomatic source, the ABC reported that the women of Iraqi origin were traveling to Australia via a stopover in the Persian Gulf and were accompanied by a young child.
"The authorities in Syria now, according to our sources, are concerned that they may have foiled a hijacking and they are looking into it to try and see what was behind it," ABC Middle East correspondent Matt Brown told ABC radio.
Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs said it was still trying to confirm the report so consular assistance could be provided to the group.

 WOW they are after us next arnt they?!?!They must of thought they would not be caught being women with a child!Absolutely dispicable!
We[aussies]just caught a heap of would be terrorists planning to blow something up here in Australia.
Then there were protests about how their privacy/human rights had been violated!The most stupidest reaction to something that should be applauded for stopping a tradgedy occuring!
The world is going crazy!

Oh yeah, one of them were charged for having pipe. I mean seriously everyone has pipe! Which I don't see why anyone would have a problem with a muslim haveing a pipe. But then my mum told me that they (the police or some ppl like that) have voice recordings or something of the muslim ppl talking `bout it (blowing something up.....I think)and all that.
