When you go onto a news site, or pick up a newspaper, what type of news do you like to read first? What news interests you the most? Please vote in my poll.
I haven't included local news as an option, because I'm sure everyone is interested in what is happening in their local town/village/whatever. I'm thinking, on a wider scale, what interests you most.
When I pick up a paper, or go onto a news site, I like to look at the entertainment news first, to see what's happening as I enjoy reading all the latest happenings in Hollywood, the music world and on TV. After that, I browse political news and health news, before moving on to see what's happening in the world.

I usually look up politics first, although national news is basically policy, and I look up that as well. However, I'll put down politics, 'cause that's probably moreso.

Politics is really depressing cause you have liberals and us republicans going at each others throats. Noone can never agree with one another. There is always fighting.
I just watch Entertainment News to see info on stars or whatever. Even that can be depressing. So I have not been watching any kind of news here lately.... I am depressed enough.

I go with health news, because I find new breakthroughs in medicine to be the most rivetting. Then business, science/technology, and politics come after.

What? No local and state government?
I like to keep up on Minnesota first and foremost, otherwise, politics.

... *heh-heh* If I kept up on my local/state news, I would be walking around crying. *sighs* Poor California. Nice landscape, depressing governmental decisions.

My state has about the most balanced government I know of. The Democrats and Republicans in my state actually *get along* for the most part, though all in all we lean a few degrees to the left. Solely partisan bills are very rare in Minnesota. I love to go down to the State capital and hang out in Senator Chuck Wiger's office, and meet important people.

I voted Politics, but I also like Health news, education, science & technology, world news and national news too!
Sooo... I almost like everything. Everything that concerns me, and that's almost every topic I've mentioned above, I'm interested in.

I voted for 'National News' becaue it also includes politics (in my opinion). Also, because of my proximity to D.C. there is a lot of National focus.

I check the sports news before the others. Gotta know how the Cubs or Bears did!

I just love learning what new idiotic thing Parliament has done now. That's why I'm elated that CBC News: The Hour is premiering with its new season soon, since I'm rather out of touch with what's going on lately.
But seriously, our Parliament is hilarious. We have an aging Prime Minister who can't keep himself and his party out of scandal; a robotic Opposition Leader who can't make himself seem human; ministers who can't run their departments; CBC lockouts; etc. And question period looks like a day at the zoo. Ahhh . . . gotta love it.
