Happy 80th, Margaret.
I'm not going to turn this into a political debate. All I will say is that Margaret Thatcher did do some good for the UK. She believed in independence and capitalism, two things I adhere to. She wanted people to make something of their lives, to stand on their own two feet, and to own their own homes.
I didn't always agree with what she did and said, but I respect her as a politician and for what she both tried to achieve and did achieve. People could still learn a lot from her.

Cheers, mate. I thought she was good too. Not perfect (who is?) but very good. I didn't agree with everything she did, but I liked some of her philosophies, especially those about being self-sufficient.
Nowadays, one problem we do have is that people want to rely on someone else ALL of the time. They want the state to provide EVERYTHING rather than taking responsibility for their lives. Of course, there are things the state should provide, especially if you're a taxpayer, but too many people want an easy life where everything is provided for them constantly. Mrs Thatcher was never about that, she believed in both rights and responsibilities.
