PostFri Oct 07, 2005 11:03 am    Are You A Tactile Person?

Tactile means hands on. With people would be what I'm shooting for here.
I'm so not. I don't like to be touched, hardly at all. I don't like to touch others, either.
Thomas sent me this necklace, and when I wear it, people constantly reach out to touch it. I've offended a few people by flinching, Oooops. Perhaps they should ask first?
I'm fine w/ most of my family, and some of my friends, even broke down and gave Grace a hug, (BT79).

I a little like that but only if it is people I don't know . Because, I don't know where they have been or if they got a cold. But, normally with friends and family I am all hugable.

Gosh, I guess I don't really mind. Not that anyone would really want to touch me?

Ouch, that hurts T. Actually I HATE drinking after people. I don't know if I ever have in my life. It's just nasty.

Oh i'm definitly a tactile person!! EVERYONE at dance is, and my mom's family is for sure so it's in my blood !! At dance everyone is always giving everyone hugs. People will be sitting on other ppls laps, laying across people. A lot of this stuff to is just someone walking over and doing it -- not asked or anything like that. It's just what we do!! Another example, someone will be sitting on the couch in the teacher's lounge w/ their legs across the couch. Someone will walk up and either just sit on that person's legs, or lift them up, sit down, and then put that person's legs on their lap.

Now as for my mom's side of the family -- haha -- i'll be like laying on the floor on my stomach. One of my aunts will come over and sit on me -- and i'll be like dying because i can't breathe and i'm laughing really hard. They do it just torture me i think! Or like at dance too with the whole sitting on the couch w/ my legs across it. They're just pick 'em up, sit down, and then lay my legs back down across their lap!

I wouldn't say that I'm overly tactile. I don't really mind it, is what I'm getting at.

I'm fairly tactile. I like to give my friends hugs and stuff. And I tend to be more touchy-feely with my good friends. Considering that one of our favorite games is to see how many people we can get on a couch at the same time... But there are also people who I do know pretty well, but I feel a little uncomforable getting close to. But usually I either haven't known them that long, or they have hygene issues.

Generally I'm just kind of....weird about touching people. Sometimes I'm fine with it, other times I just want my space.

It really depends... mostly though, I'm only tactile with family and close friends. Right now, I need to be held, but can't stand Sammie climbing all over me. I'm just weird though...

I don't mind drinking after my family. Just not anyone else. I don't like it when Deb pinches my cheeks and says you so cute in front of my friends.

Well, I don't like to hug strangers or something, But with my boyfriend that isn't a problem at all. We have to touch eachother when we're toghether, doesn't matter how, if it's just a hand on a leg or something it's good, but otherwise it doesn't feel good for the both of us
I guess I'm not over-tactile, but just normal. hugs & kisses with family is very normal for me, friends not that much, but that's not accustomed (?) over here in Holland.

Very much so. I do, however, like my personal space. Even if I don't know you too well I'll give you a hug.......... I'm just like that though.

I don't miiiiind other people touching me. I myself though am not very 'touchy' though, towards most of my normal friends.

As for drinking after others, I will only drink after my friends, not family.

Well, I do enjoy giving women a good foot massage.

I'd say I am tactile. I can be a very emotional guy. You'll always know whether I'm happy, angry, sad, annoyed. I don't mind hugs, I like them, especially if you haven't seen a friend for a long time.

Well I wouldn't just hug a stranger in the street. But I don't mind physical contact at all.

I once played a guy at snooker in a club, a guy I didn't know, but who had asked me to play. It was a long match, and I won, but we hugged at the end. Some people looked at us as though it were strange, yet it was no different to two boxers or any sportsmen hugging after a match.
