Yes, I agree.
However, in my ignorant opinion, Vorik is not as strong-willed as Tuvok as he could not resist the bio-chemical changes of pon farr.
{(sp?) Tuvok managed to get through it gracefully through the help of the holodeck)}
He (Vorik) went out of control and unstable as he attempted to propose to B'Elanna. He should have went to the doctor for some kind of treatment to safely suppress the symptoms and strong urges.
Also, I think it would do Vorik some good if he get some kind of emo and mental training for Tuvok himself-the "old master"

Well, its not like he went though it as many times as Tuvok had. Also, he hardly got though it gracefully.

Speaking of number of times, anyone knows how old Vorik was on Voyager (Give or take 7years)? Was Tuvok about sixty or seventy years old (In human years) during season six or seven?

Speaking of Vulcan names, do you notice that a lot of Vulcan names start with the letter T.

I actually found Vorik annoying. He looked a bit like a transvestite too.

- Yes, Vorik is a boy compared to Tuvok.

- I agree...though that may have been the actor.

I think that Vorick was a poor actor. I really disliked how he was just randomly thrown into certain episodes. I don't really understand why he was a necessary addition.
As for the pon far ... Tuvok, as mentioned had gone through it more times, but also, he had a wife and children to think about. This of course would make him more strong willed and make things slightly easier.

- No, Vorick was the other Vulcan on the ship. He's probably most famous for giving B'Elanna the Pon Farr. The guy your talking about was Lon Suder.

Well, I believe that Vorik's character could have developed a lot more and become very interesting. I do not, however, believe that Voyager's writers could have dealt with this for a second, they just don't have the ability! They may have given us some FABULOUS stories over the years but, had they continued to develope the Vorik character, I think we would have most likely been disappointed...as with, I must admit, Kes's character and, to some extent, Harry's character.
On the other hand, they handled characters like Seven, B'Elanna and The Doctor beautifully, but I'm just getting off topic now, aren't I?
