They're both good, but the second one literally made me cry harder than I ever have before, that I remember. And I'm the kind of guy who can usually keep myself from crying.

A truly sad day. There is definitly no joke when they say "Everyone remembers what they were doing that day." I remember I was home from school, because I was sick. I woke up and my friend called me saying "Can you beleive this!?" I turned on the tv and things were never the same again.

I can remember when 9/11 happened. I was at work and Deb called me to tell turn on the tv or radio. That's when I decided to join back into the army.

I was much younger than now, and was in a middle school grade in my Language Arts class. They made an announcement talking about a moment of silence or something or other and talked about it, but I had no idea what had happened. I didn't realize the scope of things until I got home. That was the first time I ever watched the news quite a lot, which stopped afterward until Iraq.

I was sat watching The Next Generation when a small bar appeared at the bottom saying a plane had flown into one of the World Trade Center towers. I switched to the news and watched the whole thing happen. And the news was on most of the time since. Im hooked on the news

I was in school or on my way home from school when the attacks happened. I found out what had happened when I returned home. This forum was called Attack on America. We will not forget.

We were here at home, planning out the final details of my parents renewal of their wedding vows that weekend. September 11, 2001 was their 25th anniversary. Needless to say, that night's dinner party was quickly cancelled.
I remember being in the living room, and hearing my mother yell for me to run and get my father, (he was outside). She sounded... off enough that I didn't even question her, just ran to get him. We came back in just in time to see the second plane hit.
What I remember most, though, is how I felt that day.

I was at school, was seventh grade. I had just gotten out of football, and was going up the main stairs to go get my stuff out of my locker when I heard some kids talking about how someone had bombed the Pentagon. I thought they were stupid because I mean come on.... However, I went into Mrs. Zunker's class (science) and she had the TV on with the WTCs. Took me a while to figure out what was going on. We just watched it all day, and then in sixth and seventh periods the teachers turned it off and just answered questions that we had. Also remember no airplanes going to and from DFW that day. Was terrible.

I'd just woken up when it happened...and actually had been musing to myself what a nice morning it was. Then my grandmother called and I spent the morning watching the news (Was homeschooled, at the time). My mom and I went up to see my grandparents, and in the stores everything was so quiet and subdued... I half-expected bombs to be raining down on us.

It's hard to know how to remember such a horrendous event, to commemorate it.

I live within 5 miles of the Pentagon. I remember hearing the principle over the PA system talk about the WTC, and it rang a bell, but when he said the Pentagon everthing snapped in place.

I don't think what happened really sunk in until almost a year later. I was trying to explain to someone what was going through my mind and I got a huge knot in my stomach and felt like I was going to cry. That was when I realized how scared I was.

The plane flew so low to our house that it scared the crap out of our dog. Literatly.

The entire day was so fragmented for me that I still can't put it in a coherent manner.

I remember it crystal clearly.

I was in my ninth grade mechanical drafting class. I was drafting a container optimally suitable for 9-volt batteries, when the radio cut out of the song "Horse with No Name" the newscast sounded panicked, and cluttered, I couldn't hear what happened, until my teacher who was closer to the radio announced that a plane has struck the trade center. I immediately though it was probably a small jet accident, and probably caused little damage to the building, and continued to work. I then had it followed up by a series of shocks, I heard it was a 747, then that the pentagon was on fire, then that the second tower was hit, then that the first tower collapsed. I couldn't finish my work that day, I carried my chair over by the radio, and listened.

Life was never the same.

My friend called me and said, "Turn on the news!"

I asked, "What channel?" (thinking it was some petty local event).

He said, "Any channel - somebody flew a plane into the World Trade Center!" and hung up.

I went to the TV, thinking I would see the tail of a Cessna or Piper (small propeller planes) sticking out of the building. Seconds after I tuned in, the second plane hit.
