The real question is, how many successful sites do you have that you've stayed with and kept too?

I know many people would have free forums that they used for a week or two and sorta of just never came back to them because they never turned out well.

well my janddhosting one is prity sucessful we are still here,

as for ther rest most of them have merged and I dont do as much as I should to them alough my Delta prime one has always been around and at one point was very successful till some mumble grumble hacker wipted the whole thing.

but other than that the ones I am doing is my halo site, alough its not very sucessful it de3pends on which side you look at it at.

its very hard to have a sucessful web site these days as not many people are good members,
yer you get people signing up but they hardly ever post and you get sick of posting yourself,

Agreed, its just I find people overlook and frankly, underestimate how good a "free' site can be, so the look for the paid domians.

well Im only really using the one I pay for under which I get a domain name.

However I got a free one from my ISP which I was using but decided to keep everything under my domain one

back in the days where my card wasnt accepted I used to run off free web sites mainly zero catch and so forth, I have nothing against free web sites I just hate the ones with pop up banners as well as forced ads on your site (like lycos'es) I think free providers are great expecialy ones that provide more than just your basic needs like some of the free forums ones out there come pre modded with loads of features.

Me I bought all my own domains simple cas I like to have my own addy's, (I use a lot of e mail accounts there them for examp;le [email protected] lol, I found with the free url's some times they were very hard to remember,

www.yourfreesites.com/freeforum/yournamhere kinda thing and when you dont always have the luxury of being at your home pc with your favs and your trying to remember that great site you found the other day whilst killing time at the local library then I find paid url's are better in some cases or a free short url.

I've tried to make a few websites in the past, but all of them have failed
