What a pathetic post! Bush didnt go right underground. That was the vice president. He immediately put the country in a state of the highest security alert. Not only that, instead of hiding, he had the guts to go back to the White house. By protocol, he is supposed to be hidden. Imagine what would happen if he got hurt. Insanity, hysteria. He also said we will punish the people responsible and anyone harboring them. Please dont post things that you are unsure about.

Seriously, where in the WORLD was the Vice President in all of this?! I will admit that I had basically NO respect for George W. Bush before all of this...but, now, I can not help but respect him, and believe in what he says, and hope that it will be true, I think that he really loves America, and actually cares about the people (might majorly screw up the budget, but hey, atleast he cares, LOL). While I think you have a right to post your opinion, I agree with Natira, in thinking that Bush (and the rest of the government) jumped on the situation pretty fast. I can only hope, that he will not have to further prove himself in this kind of situation...

I understand if you like Bush, we did too, but he just can't handle most foreign issues, and calamities like this. He is trying his best, but not enough. I think we should be open minded. Colin Powell is the real person who is best fitted for this situation. Bush has other strengths, but definitely not this one. He is mostly blah. Try to look at all the people who contributed to the "possible arrangements" of this matter, they all did actions, not just pure words, well except for other people. If he got hurt, I could imagine that. Someone might tentatively take over.

Did you listen to the speech tonight? It was BUSH who gave it. He wanted to come right back to the White House, but the SECRET SERVICE insisted that he not. Going straight back very well could have put him in grave danger. And of course he left Florida, what was he supposed to do, finish his day like nothing happened? Excuse me if I am a little emotional over this, but it is just like someone broke into your home and killed people and destroyed things. They WILL pay, and that has alot to do with the fact of who our leader is.

it's true, when bush was in florida at a book reading for elementary school students, he was informed of what happened. he wanted to go back to d.c., but the secret service advised against it b/c they thought the white house would be next.....i think that under the circumstances, they've handled this well.

first, did i not only think that the speech was decent. BUT, THE SPEECH WAS NOT WRITTEN BY BUSH. HE IS LUCKY IF HE CAN FIRST SPELL HALF THOSE WORDS. AND SECOND EVEN PRONOUNCE THEM. the speech WENT OVER WHAT MOST WANTED TO HEAR. BUT I CANT STAND BUSH. HES DUMB MOST OF THE TIME, NAD IN HIS EMOTIN, HE SEEMS LIKE HE HAS NONE TOWARDS IT.

Ok, dont take this personally, but it is people with YOUR attitude that are causing dissention in the US. There is a certain protocol that immediately goes into action when things like this happen. One of those things is to "hide" the President. But if you were paying attention, it was Bush who insisted on going to the White House. Even Congress Right now is saying that there is no differences right now....no republican, democrat....whatever. We need to gain a sense of unity and stand behind our President, who like it or not, HAS TAKEN ACTION! Plus, my opinion, comes as someone who has been out in the work force, and who has voted in a presidential election.

yea, its my attitude. i would say some things, but there are yonger kida on this site. i compleatley diassagree. i dont care if u have voted and worked. i dont belive we need to stand behind a moron. he should take action, and prehaps learn to say common words and spell, and before the year 2020 learn to write his own speches.
