Mon Jul 18, 2005 12:35 pm Do you live in rich neighbor hood or rich neighborhood? |
|
I will be moving to the middle class section. I just wondering what kind of house and neighborhood you live in. If this has been already a topic then lock it and my apologizes.
No more living on military base.
It does not matter where you live at, just curious.

I'm currently living with my uncle at his ranch, which is actually only a few miles out of town, just because I needed to get away from home for a while. So that doesn't really count as a neighborhood. I guess it's a rich ranch... it's big and he has a lot of ranch hands. BUt back home I live in the middle of suburbia, and my neighborhood is upper middle class... but slowly falling and we're being influxed by mexicans and meth dealers.

I live in the suburbs, middle class area i suppose, and it's definitly a nice place to live. The people around here are great, and i live 5 houses away from the mississippi river so there are a lot of trees around here.

I live in a middle class area.
In two or three years time, I'll have the necessary capital to move house (yet again). I am thinking of moving to either the suburbs or a rural area. I haven't decied yet.
Personally, I'd love to live in a cabin high up in the mountains, but maybe it'd get real lonely, and I wonder if the postal service would be any good.
Did anyone ever watch the TV series, Dallas? I liked the ranch in that series, and I'd love to live on a ranch like that.

I live in a mixed working/middle class neighbourhood. Guess that's more normal living in such a rural area
My house is a 2 bedroomed council house... bedrooms are big, other rooms are tiny, but it has a nice garden and fantastic views, and the people are fantastic. The local primary school is nice too, so that's good for Samantha.
We often have the local kids playing in the garden, in Sammie's pool

I live now in one of those new $300,000 middle class homes. And by the way I deserve to live here since I've lived in on and off apartments my whole entire life.

I'm not going to say the cost of the residence where I grew up, but I live about a block away from the beach ... so... it isn't cheap! But I don't care.

I've lived working class all my life... in rented houses. The house I'm in now though would go for around 100,000 if it was sold, though. House prices have shot up, especially in this area, since lots of people want to live in the countryside. We've got snobs for next door neighbours though (they think they're better than us because they've bought their house, which has been extended, and can afford to do loft conversions and the like... they forget that originally it was very similar to ours ). The rest of the neighbours are cool... I'd ask any of them for a cup of sugar

Yeah, where I am going to be moving to is middle class. It is a safe neighborhood. I would feel more comfortable in that area. My kids will be going to a good school to get a good education.
I think I will make friends there. When we went to look at the house, a nice couple said hi to me. They said if we get the house, we are welcome to come over their house to talk. So cool. I usually don't make friends that fast but maybe it is where we suppose to be. It clicked.
So I think this is my destiny, this house and a good neighborhood.

I don't know, I live waaay out in the country, and sadly, more and more people are moving out here. We have a lot of land, a large house, which is as of yet unfinished, and soon, a four car garage.
I know I live in a good neighborhood, though. I'd have no problems going outside in the middle of the night, etc..., and we neeeeever lock up the cars.

Its always nice to live in a neighborhood where you don't have to lock your car, and you don't have to be afraid to go outside at night.

I live in a well off area, with quite a few yuppies. It's a desireable area, with houses being sold very quickly, as it is just outside of the shopping area of Slough and next to A4. The rent on the flats just across the road from me is 1000 a month, not including phone, electricity, heating, water bills etc. One of the biggest houses near me just sold for around 500,000 I believe.
My house has stained glass windows on the front. There are three large bedrooms and a small (which is used as a study), a dining room and a living room, two bathrooms (one with shower, one with shower and bath), a utility room and a large kitchen extention with room for a breakfast area. We have a real fireplace in the living room, one where you actually have to construct and light a fire. The garden is very large for a house near London, and the soil is fertile enough to grow a variety of flora.
I'm not sure how much our house is worth.

I live in a duplex in a neighbourhood that is quiet and the people are kinda weird and mean. It doesn't look very rich.
Oh ya! and my duplex is blue and the paint is chipping off of it.

I live in a small middle class neighborhood, but compared to the people who live around us it's like my town's ghetto.

We live in an upscale middle class neighborhood. Most of the people that live around here are either retired, or have government jobs (legislator, etc.).
