(Sorry, I have no idea how to transfer a page of news onto my post)
What do people think?
I know the bases are a legacy of the Cold War, but I've never understood why American or British bases remained in Germany all these years. Does anyone know why?
Does anyone have any thoughts?

I knew it was going to happen for a long time. Actually this is old news to me. I knew this for about 2 years now. Guess being a military wife, it is old news to me.

They are "jumping off" points. Like the base that was needed in Turkey awhile ago.
