				| I just read that in future seasons of Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, the intros will be cut (with different, presumably shorter theme tunes) to only ten seconds in length, apparently so Sci-Fi can sell more advertising time. Personally I think that's a bit cheap because I always thought the intros were the best of any sci-fi series.

				| I don't like Atlantis. It didn't make any sense. I just hope the new series of SG1 doesn't go downhill because apparently Richard Dean Anderson is leaving... when are O'Neil and Sam going to get married!!!!?

				| I never watched SG-1 when it began so now, when I watch it today I don't quite get all the importance of the goa'uld (or however its spelt). I started watching from Season 6 of SG-1 onwards so I got most of the Ancient / Lost City stuff. From then on, I was able to watch Atlantis and see the whole thing unravel (well so far in any case).
With SG-1 I either really enjoy the episodes or just get bored by them. With Atlantis, I haven't found an episode where I've thought 'Why am I watching this' (actually on second thought, I really didn't like that episode where they find that 'shadow / fog' creature/thing in Atlantis (possibly the second or third episode).

With a few of the SG-1 episodes I haven't quite understood the importance of episodes in which there's no action...those episodes that kind of rely on plot threads established on previous episodes.

Did that make sense? Well that's why I like Atlantis I think - simply because I wasn't *there* when SG-1 started.

				| I think Stargate SG-1 will go down hill also after Richard Dean Anderson leaves. He is what makes the show interesting, I think.

				| I have to disagree just a little bit with you Allen. I think SG-1 might do well cause Ben Browder is going to be on there. He is so hilariously funny and as funny as Richard Dean Anderson.
I can not get into Altantis. I find it quite boring, in my opinion.

				| Other than Farscape I've never seen "the new guy" in anything.
I never really liked Farscape so I never watched it - as such, can't really vouch for his acting.

				| If you ever watch the scifi channel, sometimes they run reruns of farscape so if you see it just watch one episode. Ben Browder is so funny.

				| I'm really not sure how it's going to be. I love both shows, but with RDA leaving SG-1 and those new guys coming in on Atlantis, meh.

				| For those that are interested, Stargate Atlantis starts airing on UK terrestrial TV tomorrow! On Channel 5! I only saw this by chance in the TV guide and haven't seen any promos or anything.

				| Delta Flyer - Ive seen promos for it but I dont know how to describe it without spoiling it for terrestrial uk viewers, basically it involves a clip of atlantis from the air and a voice clip from Weir's leaving tape.
 I am so so happy
most of the sci fi shows Ive watched for the past few years have ended so Im gonna cling to the one remaining
 I love stargate!

				| Yeah - I only really watch Channel 5 for the movies and have hardly watched it at all recently - guess that's why I ain't seen any trailers!
I normally go out about 9ish so I can watch Atlantis while I get ready! Hooray!

				| Atlantis is dire. It's like all the bad episodes of ENT put in a blender and fried as new bad episodes of a different show.

That made more sense in my head.

 Ouch.

But seriously. I really do like Atlantis, but it's just not as good as SG-1.

Also, whats up with the Sci-Fi channel airing the reruns starting at the first show all of the sudden. Just 2 days ago they were at some episode produced in 2002.

				| Well, Atlantis is only in it's first season. Nearly every first season of every show isn't all that great. Even SG-1 was pretty tacky/boring it's first season.

 Good episode though on SG-1.

I was also pleasently surprised with Atlantis. I really liked it.

I won't post any spoilers though.

Starting next Friday, Scifi will be airing Firefly at 7pm, just before the new episodes of SG1.

If you haven't seen that yet, definitely give it a shot------awesome show.

I enjoy Atlantis well enough, but there's no question it has some problems.

				| About Atlantis: I'm glad they're getting rid of that Ford guy, he was totally useless. He looked half Stepford Wife, though. Creepy. I hope this season will be better, but the Wraith are getting old/boring.

 About SG-1:
I like that new guy, hes pretty good. The premier was kinda blah, though. Getting trapped with the ceiling coming down.... who didn't see that coming?

				| can anybody tell me when the new seasons will be aired here in the UK.
not repeats of the first season of atlantis which is good I liked it for the change from Stargate its self.

as for the new stargate well, erm I need to catch up from season 7 lol but yer I like all of the stuff of it so far but it is a bit tedious now.

I just hope its not to long before it comes on ordinary TV in the UK.
