My friends downloaded a demo of this game and were playing it while I was busy on the XBox with "Obi0Wan". Unfortunatly, I tried downloading it onto my own computer, but I don't have the right graphics card.
Anyway... it looks really cool and fun, especially since you get to play through all 6 movies as whatever character you want to.
I'm trying to convince my friend to let me borrow his XBox while he's at basic for the Air Force so I can get the game on XBox and play it.

It's out today, dude.
RM, it's a Star Wars game that you can get for any console or for PC. It's basically just a Star Wars game, but all the characters and sets and scenery are made out of Legos. You play through the entire story line of all 6 movies and you have, I think they said up to 60 characters that you can play as throughout the game. It's wicked.

Hey, I'm getting Lego Star Wars for XBox today. My friend said I could have his XBox while he's in basic training. Bonus points, now I can also finish Obi-Wan and he's letting me borrow Knights of the Old Republic. Shweet.

Yeah, I think I will too. I'd really like to take a Light Side path, even though my friend tells me that in KOTOR I, taking the LIght Side makes the game a bit harder. Eh. Oh well.
Lego Star Wars on XBox, apparently, doesn't come out in stores until either tomorrow or Friday. So I guess we'll wait. Some more.

Ha! Ross and I got Lego Star Wars for XBox today and played Episode I. It was totally cool. In Episode I as you go through the story, you can play Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, TC-14, Amidala, Panaka, R2-D2, Jar Jar, Anakin, and "Battle Padme". Actually, the hardest part of the entire episode was the padrace where you have to get through three laps of caves, Tuskan raiders and falling rocks, ect. It's no N-64 podracing... that is... I think it's harder to podrace on an XBox.
The coolest thing is that you can do one or two players. So I can be Obi-Wan while Ross is Qui-Gon, and you can switch characters whenever you need to. Like... Amidala and Panaka have acension guns to get up high places, Jar Jar can jump ultra high, Anakin can fit into tiny places, Jedi can move things (which you need to solve puzzles, etc).
The cut scenes are great too. The nice thing is that there aren't any voice actors (after playing "Obi-Wan", that's especially nice) and everything is just mimed. Most of them are really funny.

Maybe you should ACTUALLY try something out before you judge it. That tends to go over with you a lot. The game is freakin awesome.

I didn't want to buy it for the simple reason of they are legos. Thats so stupid. They should have used real charecters. That would have looked better and been fun.

Hmm... lets see... Legos are freakin awesome. Even when they're not in a video game. And they've already made tons of games with "real people". Kudos to them for making something original.

They never made a Star Wars game at this scale with real people. That would have been so much more fun and less kiddy.

What's wrong with "kiddy"? Are you glad you've now stepped across the barrier into adult-hood in which you'll never be able to return to the wonder of being a kid? Sad...
And "on topic".... yeah, it would be cool to also have one to this scale with real people. Though they don't follow the movie storylines as closely as you'd think. That is... they do, only from different perspectives.

I heard somewhere that it only covers Episodes 1,2 and 3? Can anyone confirm that? Cos elsewhere (here for example) you say it covers all 6 films? Is there a Death Star chase? Cos I imagine that could be quite cool in lego form lol...

yeah, just one two and three. But there'sa hidden game that we haven't gotten to yet that's supposedly the bewginning of Episode IV.
We finally played Episode III the other day, now that we had finally seen the movie. It was really fun. The first level was the Courusant battle in Jedi Starfighters, then on to Dooku, then escape from the Invisible Hand, then Greivous, then Kashyyk, then Obi-Wan/Vader.

A friend has it and we had a mess about on it. We did the Geonosis level with the LAAT/i s and a couple of The Phantom Menace levels.
I'm tempted to get it but I think the novelty may wear off after a while...

I'd like to but it, but it's so expensive. If I can find it cheap, then I'll probably get it. Anyway, it looks sweet!
